Don’t Breathe is a very very tense movie, and I’m a big fan... but yeah if the twist/subject matter turns you off then definitely don’t watch it. Especially since the man who kept the girl captive and assaults Jane Levy is portrayed as the victim in news reports at the end to instill a sense of hopelessness in Jane Levy as she goes on the run

I did not like Don’t Breathe. There are too many idiot plot decisions made for me to turn a blind eye to. The concept was good, I hated the twist and the specific scene no one enjoys discussing, and then the cliche ending was the final nail in the coffin for me.

I watched the Evil Dead remake the other day and it was so great. Loved the gore and the wild ass ending. Very surprised at how much I loved it.

Gretel & Hansel looks great, really like his first two features

I know a couple of you were similarly excited for In Fabric and it’s popped up on torrent sites now, looking forward to watching it tomorrow

See, Jaws is my absolute favorite all time movie but I never considered it ‘horror’. I see it more of a thriller. Like around Halloween I don’t think ‘shark in water’

This order could probably change on any given day, but:

    10) Let The Right One In
    9) Carnival Of Souls
    8) Misery
    7) An American Werewolf In London
    6) The Strangers
    5) Nosferatu
    4) The Shining
    3) Scream
    2) Night Of The Living Dead
    1) Halloween (78)

The last two decades have produced a lot of greats, and those that immediately come to mind are It Follows, Evil Dead (2013), Hostel, The VVitch, Train To Busan, The Babadook, 28 Days Later, Shutter (2004), The Conjuring, Get Out, and OF COURSE Hereditary.
