First reaction from someone who didn't: "Look how they massacred my boy."

 

I got fucking CHILLS. THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T GIVE UP ON HORROR. Just let out an audible EEEEEEEK.

 

Gonna try reading the book before I see it but that looks great

 

They'e gonna combine the DS novel WITH the Kubrick adaptation. People will be mad, but it's a smart move. Kubrick's film is insanely iconic.

Yea, the made for tv Shining is not fondly remembered

 

My girlfriend (and podcast co-host) loved the book, hated Kubrick's adaptation, and bought the made-for-tv King 3-movie dvd set so she could see the mini-series. I haven't seen it since it aired so I am excited to revisit it.

 

This might be really bad but who cares cause the shot of Danny back at The Overlook is getting me there opening night

 

Doctor Sleep looks promising. Excited for anything Mike Flanagan.

 

I unreasonably love the 2006 version, but I am curious for this one.

I LOVE the original black Christmas. Jess is such an excellent character.

So that's how he got cast?

 

I have struggled with my love for The Shining in that I think the movie is incredibly unnerving and stands the test of time, but hate reading about the making of the movie and how horrible Kubrick was. When the argument of separating the art from the artist comes up, this is always in the forefront of my mind.

I didn't even notice Imogen was the lead I LOVE her in fright night, Green room, and 28 weeks later so I am here for this
