Making a friend watch The Final Chapter tonight, since it’s the best Friday The 13th

 

I honestly don't really love the FT13th series much outside of the first two and Freddy vs Jason. Essentially, I could watch a kill count for the effects and be satisfied. Feel like even though I know many enjoy them for their campy nostalgia, there are other series I always chose over these movies.

The video game however was all I played for an entire winter. Better than all of the movies.

 

I honestly love how ridiculous and cheesy they are, high art they’re not but always a fun time to watch.

 

I never knew this existed until today, Robert Englund as the Phantom

 

Love F13 and prefer it to intentionally funny series like Child's Play or Nightmare on Elm Street. Good, consistent slasher series (even more so than Halloween, which ultimately has higher highs and lower lows).

Jason Takes Manhattan forever.

 

I'm listening to In Voorhees We Trust right now and they're covering part VIII and they bring up a part that confused me as a kid and Paul was in the same boat (literally). In the opening scene and first kill where Jason shoots the guy with the harpoon gun and since I was a kid when I saw it, I always thought it was the guy's intestines but it was the sealed tubing from the gun

Yes, and it actually is on Netflix so I'm dumb and wasted $2.99.

Has anyone watched Into the Dark? I saw a trailer for an upcoming ep, and it looked interesting

 

Rewatching slasher season 1 this show is so good

It's half good, half scream at my tv due to the inane decisions the characters make

Also fast zombies are bullshit. I go by Max Brooks' rules

 

Fast zombies are played out, ditto plague zombies. Bring back the slow, grey Romero zombies

 

28 Days Later still one of the best though

Totally agree, but you could make the case that the folks in that movie weren't dead, just infected

The movie never reaches the heights of that opening again.

 

REmake 2 made me really appreciate slow zombies. They can be just as terrifying

 

Slasher season 1 was great the second time. Onto season 2. Somehow made myself even more excited for season 3 lol

 

The ending to this sucked. Hope they're making a second season to fix it

 

Currently watching Pandorum. The editing choices definitely add to the tension, but the camera work is making me a little queasy lol
