    are we having fun yet?

it was pretty ambitious, but i think it just tried too many different things... overall, pretty good but can't even come close to rivaling the first one.

could've done without the corny, montage scene in the middle

Honestly I barely remember the first one. I liked it a lot but it didn't leave much of an impression. I should rewatch it soon.

  3. I'll always remember the sheet blowing off the line and catching on an invisible figure. Love that scene.

He was one of the weakest , if not the weakest parts of the while thing IMO.

  7. Can't remember if I asked this already or not, but were either of the Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street reboots any good?

See I also thought the first one was decent but entirely forgettable. I had to rewatch it recently because I didn't remember anything about it. ... I also had the same thing happen with Insidious, so I think James Wan might just make high quality forgettable movies, for me, haha. Having just gotten out of the theater, I'd say this one was better, by we'll see after it sits a while.

    Also I don't even remember a montage
I disagree entirely. That was the highlight for me. It was so different and unexpected for this movie.

I guess there's not a thread for the movie so I'll continue discussing it here

I thought it was weird that the demon's name was all over the Warrens' house. I was thinking "what is Valak? Guess I'll look it up later" and then it ends up being that

  10. You can start one

I watched Deathgasm last night and it was a lot of fun.

Watching Digging Up The Marrow now

  14. Rented Southbound tonight and I'm pretty excited for it, I've read good things and love VHS/anthology movies

Like others said, nope... and I'm not even a fan of Freddy vs. Jason.

  17. That's a bummer. My friend just lent me the Friday the 13th reboot and I was kind of looking forward to shutting off my brain and enjoying it in a bad, Michael Bay kind of way

I wish I had seen any of those reboots so I could have a controversial opinion on them. Ha

A friend and I did a double feature of the Friday reboot and Paul Blart back in February 2009... Friday was meh, Blart had a few good laughs.

Digging Up The Marrow was pretty cool, third act was weak though. I've never seen any of Adam Green's other films.

    It is very good.

Speaking of which, Fede Alvarez who wrote and directed it, has this coming out in August
