Finished up the Scream movie series, always a lot of fun.

Had no idea that Billy and Stu were based on Brett Kavanaugh and Mark Judge.

Gonna watch The Others next. I recorded The Green Inferno, but haven’t decided if it’s worth a watch or not

Caved and got Shudder. I'm hype to watch some of the Joe Bob Briggs flicks. Started with Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. Great fun

The podcast I listen to said it was basically a tribute to Cannibal Holocaust, which I'm never going to see

So three days in on watching a horror movie a day and I realized so far it’s all sequels... 28 Weeks Later, Blair Witch 2, and Creep 2 tonight... first time seeing it and I liked the direction it took. Was kinda hoping for a resolution where he’s killed but alas... read that Duplass hopes to make it a trilogy.

So was planning a horror night with my girl .She's a massive horror fan however only for "newer, horrors like Exorcist,.IT, Evil Dead REMAKES. Anyone got a list or rec of any old school horrors that still scare the utter SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT out of you.

Fun fact: the girl in the original Poltergeist looked EXACTLY like my little sister so I ended up having/ignoring/not

John Carpenter’s The Thing remains my favorite stand alone horror because the practical effects still hold up. The Shining is also great. Hills Has Eyes original. Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer.

I started The Fog tonight but I'm too sleepy to finish. A movie a day is difficult for me

I'm slowly making a list and she will give it the whole ''but it just looks dated". That's why she won't watch the Original Star Wars but will quite happily watch the newer ones, ugh.

Almost watched that today. Did Revenge instead because it was in the middle of the day before work. It was a fun watch, but holy hell did you have to suspend a lot of logic.

Satan’s Slaves is something I’m going to want to watch in the middle of the night so I can max out the creep factor.

About to start in 20 minutes for the same reason, haha.

I liked Revenge a lot more after my second viewing, especially with what Sean Baker said in mind: At first, the burning tree took me out of the film. (which is why I didn't want state my opinion about it at first.) But once I began seeing it as total metaphor and the story beyond that point becoming a fantasy, I saw the film differently. It allows the audience to participate in the revenge while still making it clear that there is no happy end here... Jen is raped, murdered and discarded. The bloody revenge of the phoenix that rises from the ashes is unfortunately only possible in the context of fantasy.
