I'm not on a device where I can look at the catalog, but I'm pretty sure Prevenge/Mayhem/Revenge all got picked up by Shudder and are all great

I also really really hated that scene because of the same thing, but I started getting acupuncture last year and it kind of took away that fear because it’s SO not how they work. Like even trying to stand up with them in would be basically impossible so you couldn’t be running around and tripping over yourself with them in.

i remember in early high school i was watching Final Destination with some friends (rewatch for most of us) and one guy got so pissed off and demanded we stop the movie because, "god decides when and how we die, not the devil like this movie thinks" and stormed out of the room. we knew he went to church and his parents were super religious, but he certainly wasn't and it blew our minds. years later he was fine watching it and swears he didn't say or do that but we had 5 people to prove him wrong. was so fucking bizarre :crylaugh:

agree @OhTheWater about something making you come back to Zombie's Halloween II.

on first viewing i absolutely hated it and before i knew it i had watched it like 5 times either because other people wanted to see it or i'd just randomly put it on for some reason and each time i ended up liking it more. it certainly has its faults, i'll never deny that (the "fuck! fuck! fuck!" scene with the morgue guy after hitting the cow... like, what was that reaction and why did it go on for so long...) and i really don't give a shit about any of the characters because Zombie seemed to want everyone to be an asshole, but Annie's death is always brutal to get through and her dad's reaction is fucking gut wrenching and is the most honest and realistic human portrayal in any Zombie film to date. and i really love the ending - the visuals, the song, the smirk / smile.

Looking for a Mandy thread brought me here. Just watched it without knowing anything about the plot or seeing a trailer. Also a little stoned. I feel like I just had a living nightmare. What an incredible experience of a movie.

The 4K version of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is on Amazon, probably the best this movie has ever looked. Still disturbing as the first time I saw it.

Randomly threw on Scream 4 the other day and what stood out to me most is how no one reacts like a normal person to someone they know or love being killed. There is no shock or anger or horror, just.... on to the next line of dialogue! Lady gets thrown from the roof of a hospital onto a van right next to a crowd of people and there are barely any screams and then Dewie and Gale have a fucking conversation as if nothing has happened - while Dewie is inches away from a dead body that was just thrown off the roof of a parking garage.

The people are weird in that movie.

I mean I feel like Dewie and Gale are pretty desensitized about Ghostface at this point haha.

but yeah, regardless of odd choices I love that whole series. even the not as good 3 haha.

For the life of me, I cannot remember if I saw Zombie's Halloween II. Something tells me I'd remember it if I saw it as most people usually have a strong feeling toward it in either direction.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KDU8G6W/?tag=absolutepunk-20 alright so I don't own the series outside of 1 and 2 on dvd, time to update, so I'm looking for some advice.

should I go with this set? I feel like it's a great deal for it all, but it doesn't have the producer's cut of 6 which I hear is the way to watch it, and some reviews say the 35th anniversary of the 1st one is better than what's in this set. I know it just came out in 4k, but it doesn't come with digital 4k and I do not have a 4k player. and then there's great looking scream factory editions of some of them.

***edit*** pretty sure i'm just gonna keep this boxset and if special versions come out i'll consider it. there's some sweet steelbooks coming out but from everything i see it'll only be the 4k disc which i can't play, ah well. ******

very true. for them this is all normal behavior sights and sounds but for like, the high school kids and townsfolk NOT a part of this it seems very glossed over as if Craven or the writers don't know how humans would react to this kind of thing lol

I believe that's also part of the comedy in Craven's work too. Not entirely, but he laughed at the slasher genre as much as he excelled in it.
