I asked this question a while back, but now that it is available to watch on amazon, has anyone seen Demon House?

What up y’all, long time occasional lurker of this thread.

Doing a little self plug about a movie we made called Dead Night that screens in select theaters and hits VOD starting tomorrow. It’s got Barbara Crampton and AJ Bowen and some other folks, and it’s weird and fun. Don Coscarelli produced it since we did John Dies with him.

I haven’t seen it in full since we recut it and changed the title, so I can’t say much about it, but it’s a thing that was fun and exhausting to make and it exists to watch if you’re looking for something.

I was actually planning on checking this out since it was plugged on an episode of the Shock Waves podcast.

Barbara Crampton has been plugging it hard in her twitter the last couple weeks. I'm excited for it, she's amazing

I saw Unsane recently. It kept me guessing and was a good mystery with some twists. Like someone else in here said, the iPhone filming was only really noticeable in some scenes. It did make the atmosphere more eerie and real though.
The dialogue was terrible and some turns the movie took made me think, “really?”

Super late pass, but just watched Hellraiser II for the first time. Liked it a bit more than the first. The last 40 minutes or so were intense and a lot of fun. Definitely lived up to my expectations

The First Purge was ok. There was A LOT of very on-the-nose commentary and connections being made to the US in its current state.

The most gory part of the movie was watching this kid putting contact lenses in his eyes. They made a point to be very deliberate and close-up in these shots for whatever reason. I audibly gagged and thought I was going to throw up. A little embarrassing, but I can’t stand watching people do things to their eyes.

    :cringe:

I watched Marrowbone and loved it. It was thrilling and has you thinking then a MAJOR twist happens and you feel shocked. It was gripping. There maybe could have been more "scares" but it's not that type of horror. It's good if you want to get engrossed in a complicated story .

Ghost Stories was pretty damn solid. Some genuine scares got me, in the Night Watchmen story The kid rocking back and forth on the bed was an insanely creepy image. The "short films" themselves were shorter than I was excepting so it wasn't really the anthology type movie I thought it would be, but I liked that more.

Thoroughly enjoyed Dark Tourist on Netflix. Especially his realistic approach and addresses of obvious flaws in some of the people's stories he encounters.

I started that too, been liking it so far.
Can't help but laugh every time he says "Dark Tourist" though.

They are pretty good actually. I've not watched the most recent one but they can be creepy and mindful. I'd give the first and second series a go.

should i watch A Quiet Place on my laptop with headphones? i worry about watching it through my TV due to out noise interference and don't want to miss anything, but also not super keen on watching it on a 15" screen.
