That really bummed me out despite going into it with hype

 

Bullet Head came put this year and is an incredible love letter to dogs while still being Cujo af

 

Wasn't there a lot of discussion about Hell House LLC in here a few months back? Just found it on Amazon Prime and jesus the scene where the demon girl is on the dudes floor and he hides under his sheet got me EVERY. FUCKING. TIME.

 

Not to get back into it, but having just watched them, I have to disagree...

...especially here.

 

It's 4:30 a.m. so I'm posting to remind myself to post about Hell House LLC and Hereditary tomorrow, both of wich I've seen and enjoyed in the past week haha

 

watched Revenge and Hereditary yesterday. both of them fucked me up on completely different levels but i really liked them. what have i missed this year that's worth a watch?

 

Have you seen Annihilation? Though it's a mix of sci fi and horror

I had a scary dream about Hereditary and I haven't even seen it. I was just reading about it before i went to sleep and my brain like made up a plot but I can't remember what it was. Wish I could so I could assess accuracy once i see it lol

 

It was not what I expected at all from the trailer

 

Wow. Hereditary was great. That third act....

Toni Collette’s performance was so good! I hope it gets recognized, but I doubt it will.

 

Decided to put on Veronica. LOL @ the blind nun just staring at the sun during this eclipse

 

Such a terrific performance. She kept reminding me of her role in The Sixth Sense (for which she got an Oscar nom). Wouldn’t be surprised if she gets honored in the genre-specific award ceremonies.

 

she better get a nomination for something

 

I’d have higher hopes after seeing genre pics do so well in the awards season last year, but I recall reading reports that the Hollywood brass was pissed about all the recognition while their typical Oscar bait was ignored. I’m not hopeful anything will come of it, but I feel like that performance was just too good to be ignored.

 

no way this gets any recognition from the Academy

also the Academy is irrelevant and stupid anyways

The Nun – Exclusive Image from Corin Hardy’s Conjuring Spin-Off

 

The Nun was the best part of The Conjuring 2 for me. Nuns always creeped me out, so the imagery used for her always has me unnerved. However, this poster doesn't look as much like the previous images of her and a little too processed. But I have good hopes for this movie.

 

Lol my dad text me saying he hated Hereditary and fell asleep in the theater twice. I'd have been more surprised if he liked it tho. Doesn't seem like his vibe from what I know about it

 

I told my father that it had themes he doesn’t do well with but that it was incredibly powerful and he thinks he wants to see it. I’m slightly afraid that he will disown me after seeing it if things go badly. My mother liked it but she’s better at depressing films than he is.

 

My dad couldn’t make it thru a game of Cards Against Humanity. No way I could recommend a movie with a woman removing her own head with razor wire

 

My dad loves horror but he's more of a idk straightforward horror guy and not a slow burn type of person.
