Oh, das 6 technically. 5 was Jamie's second chapter.

I love Paul Rudd too. In everything, even bad movies like Wanderlust.

The only Halloween movies I technically "love" are 1 and 2. 4, The Curse, and H20 are okay and mainly suffice in that Michael still creeps the fuck out of me in certain parts of those, and the side characters aren't the absolute worst.

The Halloween series have some pretty boring ass sequels. 1 is the only genuine classics, 3 is so weird and unique and atmospherically awesome and 2 is pretty good. The Zombie sequels are better than all of the rest. They lack the humor or unique kills (outside of a few good ones) that make the Friday series and other 80s slashers so entertaining. The 90s/00s run are all pretty bad.

I have a soft spot for 6 because it was my first Halloween film in theaters. Bless my parents for taking their 9 year old to see the scary man in the white, emotionless mask slaughter a bunch of people.

Not only that, but they’re using 35mm film stock too so that’s really cool. I imagine it’s going to look gorgeous when it comes out.

I really like Halloween 4, Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell are great in it. Wicked scary ending too.

I watched a few of the sequels for the first time with my roommates back in October, and I had a far better time with the frivolousness of Ressurection than I did slogging through the self-seriousness of H20.

I loved it, my favorite Hatchet movie easily. The humor and characters in the last 3 were a little too.... distasteful... for me. While a lot of that has carried over it feels a lot more self aware and that makes it a lot more enjoyable for me. The gore is gnarly (might have the best in the series) and it got a couple of laughs out of me (the opening scene really got me). Of course it is still a Hatchet movie so still expect it to be like that.

Seriously though, Busta Rhymes v Michael Myers is under appreciated.
