That little girl is terrifying

 

AQP was fun. Lucked out with a near empty theater. Everyone was dead quiet too. So nice. I feel bad for those who didn’t have the same, especially after seeing the film and knowing just how much silence there actually is.

 

i was in a packed theater opening night for a quiet place and my friends stomach wouldnt stop growling and it was soo much louder than it ever shouldve been

100% agree that we’re in a new golden age for horror tho. The Indie releases are pushing great releases. Fewer things are considered taboo and it’s resulting in more fearless writing.

Haha I had the same reaction at first. I jumped straight into the list and saw Exorcism of Emily Rose at #4 and was like huhhh. Also to be fair, I haven't seen The Exorcism of Emily Rose, but I don't remember it being praised THAT much.

 

every time I think about the Suspiria remake I get sad. there's no reason why it should be remade imo

doubt I will even watch it

 

I’m so excited for it. I think it lends itself to a remake really well

 

I love the original but think the remake can be good. They chose the right people imo.

 

I guess we'll see but I'm far from optimistic

 

uhhhhhh yeah i mean i'm a fan of art that transforms its creators but it is my opinion that if you need therapy after a job that's a bad work environment, and we fetishize that via the talented, creepy/oppressive director archetype (not saying that's luca) and over-the-top method acting

 

that said, while i'm not inherently opposed to the idea of a remake, i have a hard time believing it will add anything to the original that i'm looking for

 

Anyone have an idea of what this could be? Crooked Man?

I feel like I’m in the minority but I enjoyed The Crooked Man scene in the second Conjuring film. I would be into a movie of that character!

 

Yoooo we just watched Pyewacket and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and camera work.

 

First I’ve heard of it. Thanks for putting it on my radar. The trailer certainly makes it look good and I’ll be adding it to the watchlist!

Annebelle: Creation was ok. Honestly I liked it more than the original which I couldn’t finish. Tho why didn’t they cast someone who actually looked like the cult girl from the first if they were gonna connect them lol?

 

Did they already give a release date for the Nun movie about Valak?
