I watched Veronica lastnight. Not as scary as people/websites are making it out to be, but it was still completely enjoyable and definitely had its moments.

 

I know The Strangers is gonna be bad, but does anybody know exactly how bad? Was considering going to see it this weekend for fun with low expectations

I liked the first one. I'm gonna see it since I have MoviePass... it'll probably just come after Thoroughbreds, Gringo and Hurricane Heist.

well that's good enough for me haha. I liked the first one a lot when it was released, didn't hold up well for me though

 

I don't think I've revisited the first one since my first viewing when it was released. I don't know if it'll be worth paying to see the sequel, but it's only like 80 minutes long so it's not too much of a time investment.

 

I'm hype for the Strangers 2. Reviews look decent enough and I fuck with the 80s atmosphere/operatic style of directing that everyone keeps talking about. Always down for a slasher.

 

I did not like the first one at all. I think Liv Tyler was a big part of that, but I have had zero interest in going back to it. The new one, unfortunately, doesn’t look like it will be that good either.

 

Directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) and starring the Cage. Hoping it gets a wide enough release that it reaches my area. Heard nothing but great things about it.

Caved and watched Jeepers Creepers 3 last night. Terrible. I am 0/2 on horror sequels this week.

Agreed. I was reluctant to watch it because of the director, but since it was a stream and I already pay for Netflix, I allowed it to play. Reeeeegreeeeeettttt.

 

The Strangers 2 may get avoided by me cause as I said, i've been catching a lot of crap horror sequels lately, and I love the first one a lot. I remember how unnerving it was the first time I watched it.

 

The Strangers is still my favorite home invasion movie. I’m super pumped for the sequel. I’ll be seeing it Monday.

 

I think I’m going to watch Veronica when I get off work tonight. How was that? I think I remember a couple people mentioning it a few pages back.

 

i fucking LOOOOVED this movie! like, i really loved it.

 

it was pretty well done, but not anywhere near "the scariest movie ever!" like a lot of publications have been calling it.

Yea, that’s a statement that doesn’t get very far with me. I laughed when I read BD detailing some people haven’t been able to finish it because it’s too scary. Was hoping it’d at least be a good time.

 

Not amazing but entertaining, definitely worth a Netflix watch.
