Why does Lestat have to be gay in order to enjoy the awesome storyline that is the vampire chronicles?

lmao who said that he has to be. it would just be great to see a legit queer storyline instead of the baiting that the book series is literally famous for. also, shocker, non-straight people like to see non-straight characters, even in "awesome storylines."

I get that and I certainly am not against it. I guess to me sexual orientation is irrelevant already being a fan of the series and just enjoying the storyline as is.

I've been meaning to pick up the b&n vampire chronicles collection. suppose this gives me a reason to jump in sooner!

he doesn't have to be gay and in fact lestat being bisexual and owning it would almost be even better to counteract the ever present biphobia in society

So I saw Insidious 4, never saw any of the other ones, but my mom loves it so I took her.

I did not like it, but I enjoyed the atmosphere of the further and the demonic representations, so I'm going to watch 1 and 2, i've been told to skip 3, but I'm told 1 and 2 are pretty good.

The jokes in this were so bad.

You may dig, I was coming through the lens of never seeing one in the series before, so who knows.

  11. Better Watch Out was good! I called the "twist" (or whatever you want to call it) almost immediately, but it was still a blast and will make for a strong holiday rewatch. Also finally got around to Hush which I loved even more. I know the two aren't necessarily comparable, but I think I expected less from Hush and was way impressed with the pace and direction. Didn't even realize the killer was Emmit from 10 Cloverfield Lane until after the fact. Very pleasantly surprised with that one.

Most excited about running across Haunters: The Art of the Scare on Netflix today. As a huge fan of The American Scream, I've been meaning to find this one online for a while now. Planning on making the time for it tomorrow.

    Doing fine. Prestigious

Better Watch Out’s twist was a little different than what I thought it was going to be. I thought the kid was going end up being a psycho and killing some actual home invaders. I didn’t think he was going to be a psycho and go after his baby sister.. Oh well. I was entertained regardless

I sometimes forget that classics are normally talked about so much because the general consensus is that they’re, like, good. I watched A Nightmare on Elm Street for the first time in over a decade tonight and it was scary

Watched The Babysitter last night. About halfway through I wasn't sure if I loved it or hated it, but then there was the AIDS joke, which for some reason just "got me" and from there on out I was completely on board.

Started Haunters: The Art of the Scare afterwards, and it is INSANE. I still have to finish the last half hour, but holy hell is Russ McKamey something else.

I'm so fascinated by everything surrounding McKamey, how they're legally allowed to continue, the moral implications of having no safe word, and if nobody has ever made it through despite there being no safe word, how bad does it have to get for them to let the person stop?Pretty scary stuff imo, but talking to the actors from some of the more traditional haunts was really heartwarming how excited they get about it

guess I'll spoil tag this just bc...

It's borderline assault. I don't understand how he does what he does. I'm sure he has to get people to sign legal waivers, but still... And then he has like 16 year old kids helping him... it's really is fascinating. I don't know what to make of it all.
