Last night watched Krampus, Split, and Dark Water. I'd only seen Krampus before, but I'd heard of the others. The end of Split was weird because I'm like this is so obviously a reference that I'm not getting so the impact is mega lessened lol.

At first I was like .... Is this a sixth sense reference I'm not getting cause I haven't seen it in forever?? But then I googled and was like oh lol.

Well, just finished Creep 2. I wasn’t a fan of the first, not a fan of the second. When I watched those films, I really feel like I’m just missing something. Like there’s an inside joking I’m watching friends tell that I’m not in the loop for.

My coworker let me borrow Goodnight Mommy, Starry Eyes, and Spring. I’m sick and got sent home early so I know what I’m doing. I’ve never heard of Spring and I’m going in completely blind, but the box says a headline like, “linklater meets Lynch” or something like that and I just about jizzed right then and there

If you like Spring, make sure to watch their next film, Resolution. You'll love that one

im gonna have to watch Creep 2 when i get back to philly with my roommate but i do not have high expectations. the first one was like a film that was never good but kept on almost not being that bad film

    Creep 2 is excellent imo

Starry Eyes is among my favorites, Goodnight Mommy was quite good and I really liked Spring until the end but @TedSchmosby is right that Resolution, the film they made prior, is even better

Spring was decent, not great. I agree with the comparisons to Linklater in that it’s a story about a guy meeting a girl in a foreign country and largely just consists of them conversing. But I found the dialogue nowhere near as engaging. As for the horror aspects...I’m not sure. The first time it happens, I thought it was pretty cool, and a big “wtf” moment, especially since I went int completely blind. But as the movie went on and they started explaining it more and more it started to feel pretty silly and the clash of tones felt pretty jarring. I liked it enough to want to see Resolution though.

Spot on, the cheese factor escalated as it went on unfortunately. Resolution is far more subtle and grounded.
