Finally got around to watching The Eyes of My Mother. Loved it. One thing that I am little confused about:

When the father comes home and the intruder is chopping up the mother in the tub--are we to believe that the unarmed father overpowered the intruder who had a butcher's knife and also possibly the gun from earlier too? Also, there didn't sound like there was any struggle between the two, although the drop out to silence may have been deliberate with how it was shot with the daughter staring off into the chaos.

Pretty sure that's the only way to believe it happened.

I meant that it seemed pretty improbable due to the scenario the director/I laid out. I guess crazier things have happened in film, that was just really my only gripe with it.

Tbh it seems like an improbable premise to begin with. But I figure the father noticed the killer was in the house and brought a weapon with him or something

Yeah that movie doesn't have a lot of logic to it, haha

Having some people over tonight to watch scary movies, but our dog just died and I don't want anything too heavy for my girlfriend right now. Would the original Fright Night be a good choice?

Not a horror series, but “Mindhunter” on Netflix is a must for any David Fincher fan (Se7en, Zodiac)

I feel like Twitter is going to flag my Exorcist tv show tweets as spam soon. Y'all need to watch if you're not! It's brilliant honestly. I enjoyed season 1 but wow season 2 is impressing me even more so far.

Making my way through the Friday the 13th series as I have only ever seen the first one and my word the drop off in quality between the first film and the next two is startling, not got much hope the series is going to improve as I watch more of them.

The Babysitter was fun. Good dose of gore. Light hearted. It doesn’t hold up if you think to much about it, but if you just want a mindless good time, totally hits the mark.

I don't think the original Friday the 13th is that great tbh, espesh if u choose to compare it to the original Halloween or NOES. It's a fun franchise I think just cause of the slasher formula and some ridiculous sequels, but it's always been a weaker one for me

If you like campy 80's slashers the Friday movies are extremely enjoyable.
