Cult Of Chucky. Wow. Interesting way to take the franchise and some of the violence was truly awesome.

Man, Gerald’s Game was so bad.

 

Just saw for the Suspiria for the first time and it was a 4K restoration in the theatre. Awesome.

Got my annual horror avatar out it is onnnnn. I should've spent the weekend in comfy clothes watching scary movies idk what my life choices are about. Every year I watch my classic faves but I might dedicate Friday to some I haven't seen yet. Mainly Jennifer's Body but idk what else yet. I need to finish Cult of Chucky too.

 

Like everyone else, I also loved Raw.

 

Should I watch Cult of Chucky without seeing the rest of the series?

I'm seeing the beyond with a live studio orchestra at the end of the month and I can't wait, also doing my one movie a day for the whole month, it's a great month to love horror

Ok, so I need some help. I was talking with a buddy about horror movie cliches, and he brought up the “black guy dies first” trope. I remember hearing this over and over, but what specific movies use this cliche? I vaguely remember one of the Friday the 13th sequels had a black couple killed by Jason, but I have no clue if they were the first to die in that movie.

 

You haven't seen the other Child's Play flicks????? Absolutely watch them first

 

Idk so much about "first", but the large, large majority of 80s-90s horror flicks have people of colors as victims rather than survivors

 

The only POC I can recall to survive a Friday the 13th film was the black kid in part V.

 

Gerald's Game was unbelievably bad

 

I think the trope just extends to movies in general. Horror, sci-fi, action, etc. Less common now, but it’s definitely a thing

oh also i watched cult of chucky and i have not seen a few of the middle ones...you should probably watch those first. i think it would have been a better experience for me if i had.

 

Only really wanted to watch it because the podcast I like is covering it
