    Doing fine. Prestigious

I'm so happy to see everyone enjoying the movie. My next night off is Sunday, I can't wait to see it. It's such a struggle not to click on everyone's spoilers haha. I'm stoked!

Thought IT was fantastic, but I feel like the first interaction with Pennywise was the scariest he ever felt to me. Like, he was always very gruesome and terrifying when on screen. But, that first interaction between him and Georgie where there were no effects before he chomps his arm off was just so palpable and haunting, and it made all of his other time on screen hard to match in terms of pure terror.

Again, really loved the movie and will probably see it again before it leaves theatres, if the theatres in my area aren't consumed by Irma that is.

Get Out, The Transfiguration and IT -- three future classics in one year, I'm sure of it

It is incredible - what an experience. I'm already craving for a rewatch already.

Also had a really good crowd at the cinema.

    Seriously, it's so crazy good.

Also loved one recurring detail in It

all of them just throw their bikes to the ground except one who takes extra effort actually setting up the bike stand. Got me every time.

I wish it was half an hour longer.

I think it's probably because I didn't think the original was great so it didn't have much to go up against for me hah. Like I don't quite get the cult following it has. There's actually very little of Roth's movies that he wrote/directed that I even like - the one exception being Hostel, and admittedly I haven't seen Knock Knock yet which looked good. But the rest, I've been really unimpressed.

  14. The Transfiguration is great. Knock Knock is not.

I'm not really a Roth fan either tbh.

    Love it so much.

So many scenes I like to talk about.

  17. How disturbing/scary would you all say IT was? My fiancee is a little weary of going because she's afraid it might be too intense. She can handle psychological and supernatural horror, but she has trouble with like, real life horror and blood/gore.

Never really went into Hostel territory. I'm adding spoiler tags but it's pretty much a non-spoiler answer to your question:

To be honest I can only think of one scene that delves into that category - I don't want to use the wrong words here - but I think it serves a huge role in the movie. It doesn't overstay its welcome too, and doesn't exploit the scene in any way at all. I'm not the biggest fan of torture horror and while there were graphic scenes, It evokes more of that supernatural/psychological feeling.

I mean it's a killer clown...and various transformations targeting kids...

With that being said, and it's not particularly scary.

All the imagery is very intense but it's all based in the supernatural. If she can't handle blood at all, regardless of the context, she would have a hard time with one significant sdene in particular because... well...

All that being said, watch it Aaron, dammit

  21. Gotcha. She can handle blood, just not in like an ultraviolent way. But I think I'm just going to roll in solo tomorrow anyways, never done that before

New IT movie was damn good. That's how you do a remake.

My bad. Now that's how you do an adaptation of a novel.

So you guys thinking about what your October watching is going to consist of? I'm responsible every year for curating the films and specials my roommates and I are going to watch and I'm starting to organize some ideas
