They are creatures for sure. Like an evil take on a fairy or woodland nymph. It sounds like your wife has problems with more haunted house/possession stuff. She should definitely be fine with this

Hah so funny I thought my girlfriend was the only one. I can't even mention clowns or aliens if the lights are off.

Girlfriend won't watch anything but old school stuff like Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc. Nothing with ghosts or demons either. I really want to have a Halloween party where we watch It Follows and House of Wax but she's not going for it. I think I can convince her to watch the classic Texas Chainsaw though.

I want to try Shudder but it's not available on PS3. The only way I'd be able to use it is on my tablet

Yeah, no evil spirits basically. Good to know!

She'll watch horror as long as it's aliens/science fiction, home invasion, monsters, etc. -- she can't and won't get down with anything that has ghosts/demons/hauntings/possessions.

Look up the library and make sure there is stuff you want to see. I pay for if, but month after month I consider deleting it because it's so frustrating only being able to watch things on my tablet/phone. The navigation and search function is also very weak. I wouldn't recommend the app unless there is a specific movie you want to see that you can't find another source for.

There's definitely stuff on there I want to see. I'll probably just suck it up and use my tablet for the free trial. Would be great if they had more compatible devices

Just watched Hush. A couple classic bonehead moves from the protagonist that you see in most of these types of movies, but overall I thought it was quite good.

How was it? The Director's cut is on Netflix, and it's been in my que forever.

  11. Insidious 4 set for Oct 20, 2017. Whannell is still writing, but director reigns are being handed over to Adam Robitel, who wrote/directed The Taking of Deborah Logan (which I liked for what it was) and was one of the writers for PA: The Ghost Dimension.

I never saw Insidious 3. Was it good? Also, I had no idea Insidious 2 received as many negative reviews as it did. I liked it.

I didn't like 3. Like honestly I forgot it even existed until I read Insidious 4.

According to them, PS and Xbox apps are currently in the works.
    It's fantastic, watch that soon.

I never understood any of the praise for insidious. That they're up to four movies is nuts.

I found the first one pleasantly surprising, knew nothing about horror really but was surprised that a random horror movie I picked up at redbox was any good. However its not really memorable at all (I seem to have that problem with all James Wan movies)

Sinister scared me. I might be the only one but that movie creeped me the fuck out.

Yeah Sinister is pretty good. I didn't bother with the sequel because I heard bad things.

I didn't see the sequel either and I'm ok with that. Sinister was so good I don't want to ruin it by seeing 2.

I thought the home movies were better than the film itself. Still a decent movie though.

  22. I liked Sinister, I'd like to see the sequel at some point.

The sequel kind of felt like a different franchise. Like obv the entire premise was the same but the tone felt very different. If it was a standalone I discovered browsing on Netflix I'd think it was fine enough but it's not a good sequel

The Witch comes out on BD tomorrow. Gonna rent it and rewatch it so I can finally understand the conversations throughout the movie since it was such a quiet movie, I could barely understand it.

I quickly learned that I needed to really focus to make out the dialog in that movie, but yeah subtitles will be a godsend

Actually I watch everything with subtitles and I worry that it may be messing with my ability to focus on spoken dialog... Anytime I watch something at home without subtitles I end up rewinding it back a hundred times because I feel like I missed something
