Completely off topic, but I see your avatar all the time and I question it. So I'm finally going to ask, who is holding the donut up with Patrick? I feel like that should be Spongebob but it looks like the color of Plankton, but he doesn't have fingers.

Just watched Antibirth and hooooly shit that last scene. Some really cool psychedelic shit in this film too, but plot-wise... Idk. Maybe a little too conspiracy theory for my tastes.

I'd really like to see Natasha Lyonne in more things, try out a different kind of character than what she's done here and in OITNB.

i definitely get what youre saying and i dont even necessarily disagree, but the conspiracy feeling was part of what made it so weird and great. it had all the paranoia and lazy incoherent fumbling of stoner musings, which i won't pretend was always a structurally enjoyable choice, but ultimately contributed great to the atmosphere imo.

Definitely agree with you there. The whole thing feels like a fever dream. An incredibly original film.

why would anyone watch The Bye Bye Man? To prove that there was actually a movie called The Bye Bye Man and I didn't just hallucinate it out of panic of who our president is

I hate to admit this, but my friend dragged me to see this in theaters. It was worse than I expected it to be.

  13. Speaking of bad teen horror movies, did anyone happen to see Wish Upon? That almost kind of looked like it could've been so bad it was good

I'm definitely going to watch Wish Upon when it hits home video, partly because I'm trying to keep up with all the mainstream horror releases this year, and partly because The Bye Bye Man was absolutely enjoyably bad

  17. haha yeah, that's exactly what my friends and i said afterward. we went into it hoping for scary but knew it'd probably be just kinda fun, and it was neither!

Has anyone watched Demonic? I usually avoid horror films on netflix but it was trending on there for 2 weeks and I caved. It actually wasn't that bad. I didn't see that ending coming at all.

Any good suggestions for films that have to do with cults or the occult? I love stuff like that. I really enjoyed A Dark Song and I thought The Invitation was decent as well. I still haven't seen The Void and that looks like it might deal with some stuff like that but I hear the story is garbage.

The Void is awesome if you're able to just relax and have fun with it. Especially if you enjoy John Carpenter films and practical effects

The Triangle is a found footage film that is probably the most fascinating exploration of a cult I've ever seen. It's not quite horror but it's still a wild ride
