Has anyone seen the '80s film, Sleepaway Camp? That ending was creepy af

Sleepaway Camp 2 stuck with me a lot more as a kid, probably because it was on cable so often and probably because the ending is the only memorable part. The second has some rad kill scenes tho

  8. Soooo good though, right?!

Just got out and it was a lot of fun. Probably my second favorite in this "conjuring" universe.

I totally respect your opinion but I really disagree! I thought it was a great balance of camp with some real terror and artful cinematography. I don't know anyone else who likes it as much as I do so maybe I'm misremembering and probably should rewatch, but I love Keating so far. Darling was a fantastic debut and I thought Carnage Park was severely underrated - I'll check it again this week as I've a habit of overpraising things haha

It was a good twist but I had to watch a comedy before I went to bed to get that image out of my head.

Carnage Park just bored me I think. I did enjoy Darling for it's weirdness though

  17. Annabelle: Creation was pretty solid. There are a lot of jump scares and it's not quite as creative as the Conjuring movies with its set pieces, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Annabelle (and the Conjuring franchise as a whole for that matter) was what I consider to be "roller coaster horror." You get on the ride, have a few spooks, you get off. It was fun, and a lot better than it probably should have been, but it was hard for me to ignore the fact that nearly all of the scares were entirely dependent on the characters being fucking idiots.

fuck me i am excited for anything else from Eggers and Anya as the witch is one of my favorite horror films of like the decade, although we already have three Nosferatu films (two of which are quality art horror films in their own right) that I wonder what they will be able to bring to the table that's new for it

  25. Just saw Annabelle. Fuck that shit. Haha. It was creepy even though it was pretty predictable. It was fun!
