Damn, I'm really impressed by Split.

Anyone else seeing Convenant tonight? I rewatched Prometheus and Alien today to get in the right mind set. I can't wait.

 

I re-watched Alien last night. Gonna try and watch Aliens (for the first time) and Prometheus over the weekend. Aiming to catch Covenant on discount Tuesday.

 

I too watched Alien yesterday. Not sure when I'm going to get to see Covenant though. It was just due for a watch.

 

I am, I'm hoping it's good

 

I enjoyed Covenant overall. They upped the gore. CGI was suspect at times. Definitely had its flaws. Regardless, a fun watch. Definitely had that Prometheus feel. I'm happy I rewatched it before seeing it. If you don't want to dedicate a couple hours to seeing that one again, just refresh yourself on the major plot points. But even that isn't entirely necessary.

 

Seeing Covenant today. Alien is my favorite film, and favorite horror/sci fi movie. I'm keeping my expectations low now though cuz peeps are kinda mixed on it seems.

Covenant that is.

 

Also seeing Covenant this morning. Trying not to pay much attention to the reviews as much. Excited either way.

 

Convenant was strange but very enjoyable.

Anyone watch Beyond the Gates on Netflix yet? It sounds up my alley for sure

 

I don't remember hearing about it, but the title sounded familiar so I checked my to-watch list and it's on there, so I guess I took interest at some point. I think I'm going to watch it tonight

 

Just got back from Covenant. Really liked it. Definitely some stupid moments from the characters, and the last act is kinda whatever. 8/10

Bummer, it's not on Canadian Netflix. Hopefully I can find it somewhere else soon

 

It's better if you owned/played one of those VHS games back in the day.

Some may consider this a hot take but I enjoyed Hostel Part II better than the first. I really liked the "history" and backstory supplied on 2. Made it a bit original and provided a context for what was happening that I found intriguing.

 

I felt (feel? I think there's another coming out) similarly about the Saw series.
