I didn't hate The Happening the one time I watched it. It was cheesy, but I remember being entertained. If it's supposed to be a campy B-movie, well it is

The only good thing with Split was McAvoy. What bothered me was how they kept harping on how physiological changes are brought upon by multiple personality disorder. Then we get a description of the Beast, with his elongated fingers, massive build and height...yet there was no change in McAvoy. I kind of wish they said fuck it and went full comicbook mode at this point.

I have no complaints for Split, I think

I didn't think he was actually going to make a movie combining the two further what a madman

When it went from a cool, tense kidnapping movie to a superhuman man-beast transformation. Before the direct tie in, right after it stopped making sense and having any grounding in reality

Edit: it is actually a neat idea, it just didn't work for me as I liked the psychological thriller it was up to that point

That I get. It's kind of like the ending to 10 Cloverfield Lane in that I get the criticism but it didn't bother me

He said that he has handwritten notes from the orginal Unbreakable script that weaved Kevin into the Dunn-Elijah relationship.

Yeah, I can see that comparison. The Prestige is similar too. It's seemingly all about the engineering of illusions and then you get Tesla's cloning machine science fiction stuff.

I'm about to start on a show called The Booth at the End. This is the first finished television show I'll have started watching since LOST in 2013, but this just sounds too good. I read that each episode deals with a man and a character talking about a Faustian pact, and every single 20 minute episode is just the conversation that takes place in the booth at the diner they're sitting in. Sounds Twilight Zoney and rad as fuck to me

I looked up this show, seems interesting and not a very long commitment if it blows. I'll most likely catch this as well.

Pumped as hell for Glass. I love that Night is just creating his own worlds now.

someone shared an article about a sequel to Split and Unbreakable
which means they are related somehow
which means the whole movie i'm going to be thinking about that and how everything ties in instead of just watching the movie

edit: I'd spoiler this but it's already been discussed on this page either way

don't worry, it's fucking stupid and not something you have to worry about in the context of the film (which is part of why it's stupid)

It's only relevant for ten seconds of the movie.

That news is unavoidable though. If you didn't see it there you would see it somewhere else

The first episode was definitely compelling. I was pretty much sold when one dude was like, "How am I supposed to do all this crazy shit you're telling me to do?" and then the other dude was like, "That's for you to figure out and then come tell me about it." It could basically be a radio show and I'm into it

About to fill in one of my blind spots and prepare for Covenant while I'm at it. Gonna watch Alien for the first time rn

  21. I'm due for a re-watch of Alien. Have never seen Aliens, so I may do a double feature night.

I realized a few minutes in that my dinky earbuds weren't going to cut it, and I managed to find the good quality headphones that I had tucked away deep in my closet. Boy am I thankful
