Only made it halfway through The Void because I fell asleep but other than the effects it mostly wasn't very good. Will probably still go ahead and finish it later today though.

I'm assuming It Comes at Night, and The Void are limited release so I'll have to wait to see those I'm sure.

My list is pretty much the same: It Comes At Night, IT, Raw, The Void. Not too interested in Alien. Any other critical ones I'm missing?

It shows the Playstation symbol for ways to watch The Void. Wonder if that means I can buy it on the PS store....

if it's a fx demo reel it at least looks like a decent fx demo reel

  10. tbh calling it an fx reel doesn't make me any less interested in seeing it

All that info is nearly just as vague as it's been for the past five years. No way am I supporting this movie

While I certainly wouldn't classify Personal Shopper as your typical horror movie, there were some moments in this film that legitimately gave me chills. Because these moments of horror were so few and far between I found them to be incredibly effective. It felt like a personal drama that happened to have horrific elements in it, rather than a horror movie, and I really enjoyed that.

  14. It was waaaaay creepier than I was expecting. Super interesting film.

I watched 13 Cameras on a whim the other day and the movie suffers from a severe lack of any point whatsoever. Creepy landlord films his tenants, other bad shit happens...no reason why, no motivation, no nothing. Did he want a kid? Just a sex slave? Who knows.

That sounds like a really cool premise. Bummer it doesn't have a payoff

Just finished watching Split. I've never really enjoyed M. Night's flicks before, but I was actually really into this one. I'd recommend it.

Man. Love Unbreakable, The Sixth Sense, Signs and the Visit. I would also vouch for The Village, but to a lesser degree.

I watched The Devil's Candy last night. Ended up thinking it was pretty average after hearing such great things.

Going to watch The Void tonight. Anyone watched it yet?

Okay I've watched The Void twice and Can someone please explain why Vincent and Simon were after that guy and shot that girl and set her on fire in the beginning? I must just not be paying attention or something because I cannot figure out why the hell they were even in the movie.
edit:I got two different answers on reddit, so maybe it wasn't ever clear.

The Void was cool. Plot could have been better, and yeah that part ^didnt make sense to me.

Overall some awesome practical effects, and lovely carnage.

Also Ellen Wong is the best. She's also extremely beautiful.
