    I have Covid…again.

Time to knock out some movies so I can feel 100% on my top ten list.

Holy shit. You blew my mind namedropping Bone Chillers. A title I haven’t heard in decades! Definitely read them along with Goosebumps, Fear Street, Barf-o-Rama, Animorphs, Strange Matter. Probably other series I’m blanking on. 90s YA novels were the best.

  5. Did you already submit one that I missed, or are you waiting? I think we already have 7 more lists than last year :)

  8. Some notes: The Substance and ISTTVG were neck and neck until the end there. In total, there we 34 films voted for across 20 different lists - that's a lot more than last year!

Biggest surprises for me were not seeing Speak No Evil nominated by anyone, and seeing both Cuckoo and MaXXXine make the cut (which I'm happy about). I have seen all of the films on this list, but putting this together certainly put me in the mood to rewatch In a Violent Nature, Cuckoo, and even Abigail.

Thanks again for being the best thread on this site. I feel very lucky to be a part of it:heart:

    I Saw the TV Glow
    Nosferatu
    In a Violent Nature

My top three. Lots I haven’t seen so I didn’t want to participate in the actual list.

Also had a ton of with Abigail, Lisa Frankenstein, Terrifier 3 (!), and Frankie Freako. Biggest disappointments were Maxxxine and The Substance.

Still need to see: Longlegs, Cuckoo, The First Omen, and Heretic, among others.

I’m just glad Abigail made the list. Might not be my favorite or the best movie of the year, but I love that fucking movie.

Same, Abigail is a blast. Only movie this year I watched more than once, other than I Saw the TV Glow which I watched like five times lol

  15. I love to do it! There's currently a Beat Film's of of the 2000s (So Far) thread where people are posting lists, and I was tempted to ask if anyone in here was interested in doing the same thing for horror, but I'm a psycho for stats and list-making lol real smooth-brain activities for me.

(If there is interest, let me know and I'll make a thread.)

Have we discussed the fact that a horror movie might be a best picture nominee this year?

Thanks for compiling the list, Aaron! Quite a few align with my own favorites. Timeliness is never my strong suit, but here’s what I came up with after rewatching at least five of these over the last day and a half.

    2. The Substance
    3. Nosferatu
    4. Maxxxine
    5. Terrifier 3
    6. Lisa Frankenstein
    7. Longlegs
    8. Late Night with the Devil
    9. Immaculate
    10. Blink Twice

    Honorable Mentions:

    - Cuckoo
    - It’s What’s Inside
    - Frogman
    - T Blockers
    - Night Swim
