I think I remember a few people asking about that Werewolves movie in here? No clue if it’s any decent but it hit digital today. Along with Y2K, as a reminder.

I'm seeing A Complete Unknown tonight and Nosferatu Christmas night. Nice buffers between having to deal w/MAGA family idiots

  3. Merry Christmas/Christmas Eve to those who celebrate, and happy holidays to those who don't :) I love this thread and am thankful it exists every year. I hope you all have an ideal holiday, whether it's seeing family or making some cocktails and plowing through the Silent Night, Deadly Night movies like me :)

Late to this topic but my top 4 horror/horror-adjacent movies that made me a lifer are:

    1. Halloween--I've told this story before, but when I was 8 y/o ('89), I woke up middle of night, couldn't go back to sleep so went downstairs to flip through TV, came across opening credits and was hooked. My second favorite movie, second favorite franchise, love love love.

    2. The 'Burbs--I remember watching this when I was about 10 y/o, was alone in my suburban house during a stormy night and it absolutely creeped me out. Still love it but find it more funny than creep now.

    3. Scream--no story to go with this, but it's my favorite movie and my favorite franchise. SpyGlass can burn forever.

    4. Texas Chainsaw Massacre--I saw this when I was 16 y/o, remember being completely engaged and mesmerized with how gross and icky it made me feel. The next day I had some kind of food poisoning or something, but I still like to think the movie was so reaching that it made me ill.

I love this genre so much. Adore all of you. Thanks for being the best part of this site!

It wasn’t food poisoning. It’s the horror movie virus that makes you throw up in theaters. You just had a delayed reaction because you watched it at home.

Has anyone watched Werewolves? Not really much to go by, but scores aren’t great for it. Idk if I should waste my time downloading it or not.

Seated for Nosferatu. Didn’t occur to me before, but I’m pretty sure this is my first movie on Christmas.

New trailer for The Monkey feels like it shows too much, but I’m not familiar with the source material.

This appears to be an almost full scene from the movie fyi. Nothing to do with the new trailer I saw.

Yeah Nosferatu is great. Several sequences legitimately unnerved me. He stays incredibly close to the source material here though

Throwing on OG Black Christmas right now after a few hits. Honestly considering just rewatching both remakes afterwards for the hell of it. lol

Our theater was getting rid of a ton of posters today for free - I’m assuming due to leftovers and overstock at the end of the year but I was able to snag a Scream 6 times square poster so Merry Christmas to me

2006 remake autoplayed after the original when I watched it on Prime on Christmas Eve so I let it ride. Ive always found that movie to be so uncomfortable in the best way. It goes hard.

It’s been awhile, but I don’t think I’ve ever hated either remake. Certainly not even decent movies, but they’re not the worst shit I’ve ever seen.
