So what’s the actual appeal of Scream beyond the original trilogy? I only ask because people get so damn excited about a new one coming out but it’s never been anything actually special since the 90’s so I don’t understand the appeal beyond that. How many enemies does Sidney and her mom actually have?

It reminds me so much of Halloween, in which a cool costume and theme lets it just coast on decades of time stealing movies and people are just fine with trash.

I don't know, I think they're all pretty good whodunnit slashers. While they vary in quality like literally every franchise, they don't even come near the lows of Halloween (which I also love).

Probably the most consistent horror franchise, but sure.

  8. I really like Jenna and Melissa in 5&6, and Emma in 4, and Mikey in 5. tbh 2&3 are my least favorite. Neve wasn't even in 6 and I liked it more than those two. Legacy characters are nice but it's not my main draw anymore

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

it's between Evil Dead and Scream for sure. both are very funny targets for a "who is this for" post

  12. Sidney hasn't been the main character since the fourth film in 2011 and each film is a whodunit w/r/t who Ghostface is and their motive for killing. Pretty self-explanatory imo

  21. i mentioned before i think Melissa Barrera and Ella Purnell kinda give off the same energy and would work really well together. i came up with another hypothetical duo that could be really fun: Margaret Qualley and Rachel Sennott. these match-ups make sense, right? tell me i'm not crazy.

A podcaster continuing to podcast during the zombie apocalypse sounds like a hilarious concept for a movie
