I still never seen the 2nd one.. any good?

 

It's dumb and fun in the right ways, and I doubt anyone would expect more from a decade-late Zombieland sequel

 

That's a good recommendation in my book!!

 

As much as I love Zombieland, I think I actually prefer the sequel.

damn my heart sank reading those Salem's Lot reviews lol, huge bummer. I guess Flanagan really is the only one holding down good King adaptations nowadays (although I'm keen for that Osgood Perkins one next year too)

 

I just finished watching Strange Darling and I went into this blind and fucking hell!!! What a film plus just give Willa Fitzgerald and Kyle Gallner all the lead acting roles, phenomenal performances from the both of them

 

My theaters aren't playing Blink Twice anymore haha I guess I'll wait for streaming

Out of those trailers.. Den of Thieves 2, Wolfman and Smile 2 I am looking forward to watching those films in the cinema definitely

 

Oh whoops it's actually Azrael, a before e. Anyway, it's a pretty enjoyable action horror, with zero dialogue, and some narration text that doesn't actually explain at all wtf is going on. I guess I'm missing some biblical context I might have to look up. Good sound design. Sufficiently gory. Samara Weaving slay as always

 

The Substance was excellent. Love me some gross body horror. Demi was amazing.

 

thought about it a bit and don't think The Substance was for me unfortunately. way too long and constantly hitting you over the head with the message just wasn't a combo I loved. also soooo loud, the Nolan BWAAA everytime they showed the Substance font gave me a headache inside an hour lmao

that being said, respect the gross as fuck practical effects, and the performances were mostly fantastic (Quaid was bad). I love that a movie as fucking weird as that can make a splash even if it wasn't for me. horror is in a great place right now

 

rewatched both IT chapters today, 2 is still an overlong tonal mess as I remembered but Bill Hader as Richie was absolutely inspired casting. he carried that shit

 

Quaid would be performance of the year if it wasn't for Moore, which is hilarious considering his other movie is Reagan

eh thought Quaid was hamming it up to a literally unbearable degree, felt so forced. wish Ray Liotta was still with us, he would've crushed that role without having to overact it

 

started rewatching Midnight Club, sure it has its flaws but even so i feel like it's really underrated, it's the "worst" Flanagan show but not by as much as people would make it seem

 

I got home yesterday and flipped on the TV and we still have cable to so I was looking through channels and was like "wait...AMC and freeform are playing halloween movies again...yesssss it's October 1st"...had completely forgotten lol
