Recently watched Immaculate, First Omen, and Longlegs. Think I’d rank them in that order, too

 

Watching Ghoulies II

 

Watching tucker and Dale, this is such a great concept for a horror comedy

 

Mostly enjoyed Abigail. Could have been about 10 minutes shorter but the 3rd act needed to be longer if that makes sense.

 

It'd be fun to get into it quicker, and yeah a lot happened at the end in a rush.

 

I low key loved this despite the pacing and plot issues.

I take back what I said, Kinds of Kindness absolutely belongs in this thread lol. It's basically Yorgos' Twilight Zone Movie or Treehouse of Horror. Lowkey loving it after not being sure what to expect.

 

Frighteners is always good fun.

decided against jeepers after what I learned. Watching something called Bull that just got added to Peacock. Not sure if it’s truly horror but that’s what they categorized it as

 

Worth watching to kick off spooky season! I still need to watch the first one, also on Youtube.

 

Very dark but low-key top five horror film of the year

 

If we're counting Kinds of Kindness as horror that would be my favourite of the year for sure.

 

Yeah really liked Bull. Horror adjacent.

 

Quirked-up abuse fables involving doppelgangers and sex cults? How could it not be horror

@Daniel Sea Fever has convinced me that I would like. my Gore-Us topic to be Eco-Horror. I'll be watching Prophecy (1979), which I love, but there's plenty out there (including Sea Fever and The Bay!)

Maybe I need to rewatch Kinds of Kindness. Big Yorgos head but that one completely missed me.

 

I like Yorgos a good amount but wouldn't call myself a major fan (didn't love Dogtooth and haven't seen anything prior to that one). Most of his recent stuff has worked for me, though. I enjoyed Poor Things, but this felt like a 180, which I have to admit I admire. Exceptional cast and performances

 

Calling kinds of kindness somewhat horror has me more interested in checking it out. The mixed reviews kept me from the theater but now that it’s streaming I am willing to watch

 

The near three-hour runtime is a definite barrier to entry, but it's paced quite well as it's split between three stories

 

I would rank them the exact opposite haha

 

officially spooky season here so I'm getting into it now. might kick off with Romero's Dead trilogy tonight

 

I think if you liked Beau is Afraid you'd like Kinds of Kindness. They're more dark comedy than horror though. I personally really loved Poor Things and Midsommar but Kinds of Kindness and Beau is Afraid just didn't do it for me.

 

I’ll see anything Yorgos does
