Sorry, I do not know of a regularly updating list of stuff coming to streaming. I only see stuff as it pops up on Shudder’s socials.

Newton was better in Lisa Frankenstein and Stevens was better in Cuckoo imo

 

Going to try and watch some lesser known and/or older horror movies / shows this season.

Starting with Leviathan and one of my personal pet peeves/issues with most horror things is when I recognize the cast from other stuff it’s hard for me to really buy in to the movie/show and this movie is really testing me with Daniel Stern alone let alone like 3 other people I recognize and remember from other things lol

 

Did Hard Candy and Circle last night. Hard Candy toes the line with some cringe dialogue from Page, but wow is it tense and, for the most part, holds up shockingly well. Just really great casting and performances and style.

Circle is...not good, lmao. Cool enough premise, but aside from the set design, there no real style to it and it tries to be a psychological thing but just comes off as very surface level. Incredibly bizarre non-ending. Have enough idea what that sequel will look like.

 

Let Us Prey was a decent little flick. plus Liam Cunningham is always good.

 

Planning on Sea Fever and House of 1000 Corpses tonight

 

Sea Fever is pretty decent

 

I’m old enough to remember the controversy during the HOATC release. That movie could be on the Disney Channel now compared to what’s out there.

 

Circle is by no means great but I had fun with it

 

Building out my Hooptober list tonight and getting drunk. Someone give me something good to watch after

 

I’m sure someone in here has watched the original The Hitcher from 1986? If yes, is this a weird artsy movie where the sound is super not in line with the visuals? For the last 10 minutes or so it’s been super weird with the sound not matching the visuals but there has barely even been any dialogue so idk if this is right or if somehow my audio got super fucked vs the visuals.

The kid almost got ran over by the hitchhiker in a truck at a gas station but the sound is the kid knocking on a door asking if he can use the phone so I’m thinking the sound is way off but want confirmation if possible lol

Edit: stopped and restarted and yep the audio got super disconnected to the visual at some point. Weird lol

 

That movie rules.

Gonna watch Frighteners and Jeepers Creepers tonight. Haven’t seen the former in a long time and never watched the latter before

 

Totally Killer was ok. jokes didn’t seem to land very well.

 

Despite Victor Salva being an absolute creep, I think the first Jeepers Creepers is pretty awesome

 

Oh gross I did not know that about him before. Not that I’ve seen anything of his before either. Also the Wikipedia page makes me dislike Coppola even more lmao

 

Yeah I can't do Jeepers Creepers these days.

 

Yeah he’s no good and Coppola picked the absolute wrong apprentice haha
