Not familiar with this Russian director, Kirill Sokolov, but always down for someone’s English debut. Plus I will watch anything with Zazie Beetz in it

 

I felt like more Wan after watching The Conjuring 2 the other night so I rewatched Malignant. Still a wild, silly, banger of a movie.

Edit: holy shit Giovanni Ribisi was the cinematographer and shot it on film

Willa's performance is one of my favorites in Fall of the House of Usher. Hyped for that.

 

I’ve been a fan since Royal Pains and always enjoy seeing her in more stuff

 

I know she was in the Scream tv series too but I had a love/hate relationship with that lol

 

she’s gorgeous

Oh yeah I totally forgot about that. Lol I only saw the first two seasons and it was pretty bad obviously, but I honestly didn’t hate it. It was kinda just entertaining schlock

 

Yeah, It was fun enough but I was mad they never killed any major characters lol

And the Ribisi tidbit is amazing. Definitely intrigued.

Expected a creepy smile at the end.

 

I will say I think Smile is only mostly good. There's a great film in there somewhere but it's dragged down by excessive jumpscares and obnoxious music. Tho I did like the film as a whole a lot more than I thought i would from its stupid trailers

 

Trap was pushed up a week to August 2nd

 

The jump scares physically and mentally wearing down the main character really made them more effective than the usual movie jump scare imo

 

I wouldn’t mind if Smile 2 goes full on B movie ridiculousness

 

Outside of a couple deaths, I didn’t care for Smile at all. It reminded me of True or Dare and I thought that one stunk.

 

To each their own but I was pleasantly surprised by Smile. I thought the end was pretty unhinged too

 

It's weird because from a story standpoint it's basically another The Ring and It Follows and I love that type of viral curse shit. but the execution was just not it.

 

Definitely, but "pleasantly surprised" when my expectations were teen horror garbage is still kind of just a 7/10 haha
