I love X-Files so much. Have done a few rewatches and would like to again soon. The mythology gets pretty bad and it always felt like Chris Carter had no idea where it should go or how it should end, but it’s still one or my favorite shows.

I’ve been watching Fringe again. It’s got a great X-Files vibe to it.

  2. Yeah, the most recent ending (I think?) from the 2015 revival was baaaad, can't remember if if there was more after that that I didn't see. Best to let things taper off with Mulder and then enjoy a fun but widely maligned Monster of the Week movie with I Want to Believe. I should rewatch that.

Enjoy @estebanwaseaten, I'm jealous, everyone should watch The X-Files ASAP

  3. Also, Prom Night was pretty good! Ending was abrupt and undercooked, but it was a really cozy and enjoyable slasher.

With Gourley and Rust are doing Hitchcock films next season.

Hello Mary Lou is so much better than Prom Night imo. Has one of the coolest scenes.

  7. So good! It led me to watch Cecil B. Demented afterwards. Less horror-adjacent, but I definitely recommend it. Just as unhinged and satirical. It's on Prime!

A little disappointed that Mason would work with Spyglass again, but I’ll most likely be checking this one out

happy to hear that most of these new crops of horror films are being received well (well, idk about Cuckoo) but it bodes well for the genre’s future

Cuckoo had really great impressions from festival screenings. I know you gotta take those screening reactions with a grain of salt, but I don’t doubt it since Neon is just firing on all cylinders this year.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I actually think the X-Files revival is pretty good if you just skip the episodes Carter wrote entirely lmao. no idea what happened to that dude's writing ability over the years but the MOTW stuff remains fun up to the end

on the other hand I can't stand the second movie at all lol. saw it in cinemas with my mum and brother and we were all huge fans, we left so disappointed

  16. I never really understood the hate that one got (or gets). Planning on revisiting it

I remember it being an absolute slog and having a very weirdly sympathetic take on a paedophile character but I haven't seen it since it came out either, will probably revisit it too since I'm watching the show again

Gotta agree with this. Horror conventions always seem to be a big ball of fun.

  20. Reminder for everyone to come to Eerie Horror Fest this year because I can get you a free pass and also we're showing Killer Klowns From Outer Space, Lisa Frankenstein, Nightmare Before Christmas, and a 25th Anniversary Screening of Tales From the Hood with director Rusty Cundieff

I went to Living Dead weekend a few days ago and confirm that horror remains the place I feel the most comfortable in.

  24. why Max being dumb. no hate to the Conjuring series which I haven't seen but where's Batgirl and Wile E Coyote. Stop making new shit if you're not gonna release it

  25. The Conjuring franchise already fell off hard, I can't imagine being interested in a TV series
