I saw the Watchers last night and thought it was Aggressively Fine! There's a great movie hiding somewhere in there and I think Ishana Night Shyamalan has a lot of potential.

Currently rewatching Midnight Mass for a grad school assignment and I forgot how phenomenal it is.

 

man the Arctic episode of X-Files still slaps unbelievably hard. they really said 'yeah we're just gonna do The Thing again' and made an absolute classic

 

IAVN is a must watch. Holy shit was it good. Mama Flood wasn’t as impressed but she sucks anyway.

 

Yup. Just got out of IAVN and add me to the list of people that thought it ruled.

Joe Bob this week ended up being Donnie Darko, which I was initially disappointed about because I just recently watched it but his commentary plus watching it with a friend who hadn't seen it in 15 years made it worthwhile. My second favorite movie of all-time.

Hauntedween was fun. Gonna try to do Prom Night tonight.

 

I get single episodes recommended to me frequently but are they self contained enough to satisfy my ocd?

 

Almost same exact thoughts and experience with Donnie Darko w/ Joe Bob

 

Hell yeah they are. Episodes are split between mythology and monster of the week. Any single episodes being recommended to you and more than likely monster of the week episodes. "Home" is likely the most straightforward horror episode

 

Definitely. As Aaron suggested, watch Home. It's one of my favorite horror things of all time.

 

I was hoping they’d show the Longlegs trailer so my wife could finally see it(even though I’ve asked her to 100 times). Unfortunately, they didn’t and now I’ll have to drag to that one like I did for IAVN.

 

Is there a reason why she won't watch the trailer? lol

 

Outside of her dedicated life to annoy me, she’s just lazy and doesn’t get hyped for movies like me.

you gotta watch X Files dawg. top 10 show ever

 

Just watch seasons 1-7 and the movies, you'll have a blast. Watch the Robert Patrick season if you have fun with those. A step-down for obvious reasons, but not terrible. Pretty downhill from there, unfortunately

 

I did the Home episode and truly loved it.

 

It was obviously very Hillz Have Eyez but also my partner said it seemed very Ti West, so maybe somewhere in that mix

 

I just stumbled on this to remind me it's the greatest show of all time, actually

 

would recommend Squeeze, Ice, Beyond the Sea and The Host to you as more fantastic standalone episodes. it's such a diverse show though it does every genre so well

I’ve only seen a few episodes of X-Files tbh. I would like to watch it from the beginning sometime but I’m so used to not watching 20+ episode seasons now. Streaming services have ruined me

 

I've been meaning to watch The X Files for like 15 years at this point. I'll hopefully get to it one day.
