Did you say The Hateful Eight in a modern diner? I honestly had no idea what the movie was about and just wanted to watch because the director was hired for a new Evil Dead because of it. That’s gonna have to shoot up the list lol

    saw this last night

    not a horror film imo

  3. Yep. Feels nothing like an Evil Dead movie, but it's incredibly well-directed, so I'm excited to see what he does with it.

  4. Need cozy 80s horror recs before I settle on F13: The New Blood (which also isn't a bad decision)

Doesn't get much cozier than The Fog

  6. Watched a movie called New Life w/ Sonya Walger. Definitely an interesting little movie and best to go in completely blind.

Also did a spider double feature with Infested and Sting. Glad they weren't too similar. Infested was creepier and more serious in tone, while Infested was definitely campier. I give the slight edge to Sting. It's a fun one and had some cool practical effects work in the final act.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 must be terrible if no one has bothered to post the entire movie on wikipedia yet lol

  8. I'm assuming you mean Sting was campier? Just checking, I'm interested in both but don't hadnle creepy crawlies well lol

Sting was cool! And absolutely manageable if you are terrified of spiders (i am)!

  10. Yeah, The Burning has a handful of GREAT moments but the connective tissue gets so boring (the second kill is 45 minutes into the movie) and it's hard to look past the Weinstein story credits considering how pushy the men are in the film. It's know it's a relic of the era, and it's absolutely worth a watch for slasher fans, but even with THAT iconic scene, it's no higher than a 6/10 for me

  11. Last Stop In Yuma County was pretty fun!
After the shootout, I spent the rest of the movie lowkey epxecting it to cut back to the waitress in the kitchen, thinking about grabbing the knife. That all happened so suddenly and early in the movie that I didn’t think it could be real haha. Love the direction it went though.

  12. Lol yes I meant Sting was campier. Oops! Infested has many creepy crawlies as it goes on, whereas Sting has just the one, which I found easier to handle. I hate spiders.

  14. They're both worth a watch for sure. I was interested in Infested because the director is doing an Evil Dead movie next.

I watched the original Strangers and Prey At Night on Sat. Prey was a lot better than I remember--gonna wait to catch Chapter One until it's streaming based on the things I've heard.
