My Silence of the Lambs criterion collection edition arrived a day early! It's on the menu for me tonight.

If I go out tomorrow, I'm definitely picking up Willy's Wonderland.

  8. I had guesses for The Last Drive-In tonight, but Troma's Mother's Day was not one of them.

Not a big Eli Roth fan, but he definitely knows his stuff and is a good guest for the show.

  9. I know I chimed in with "movies I have a soft spot for" last night, but poorly dubbed giallos are another one lol. The House By the Cemetery is wild

I love the alien movies but omg every one is like "hey we probably shouldn't mess with these things" "naw I'm gonna do it anyway" *everyone dies*

I also like cabin fever a lot compared to what has come since from Roth. Me and wife tryed to watch the newer sequel with sam from lotr and made it like 15 minutes before bailing. There's also apparently a remake of the original...

I want to try green inferno again, I've seen it before a bunch of years ago but forget mostly all of it. While not a major fan I do appreciate his passion for the genre. He like a non-pathetic kevin smith with horror instead of comic book stuff

  14. I like Kevin Smith's horror movies more than I like Eli Roth's lol

Unfortunately smith has dabbled in some comedy since 99

Recommend me your fav and I'll check it out, I think I've heard of red state maybe?

Rewatched Open Water or whatever for the first time in a long time. Movie wasn't great but I think they got far on the concept.

  19. Yeah Carnival of Souls was amazing. Critters 2...not so much lol.

Red State is probably technically his best, although depending on your feelings on body horror, Tusk has a small but loyal fanbase (myself included)

It’s a pretty weird experience to watch if you’re like me and saw the original Cabin Fever a lot as a teen. It’s nearly a play by play of the same movie, with actual same dialogue in some scenes as the original, with a few gender swaps in roles. I didn’t get the need/purpose for it and some of my favorite parts didn’t make it (pancakes kid).

I always loved Detroit Rock City and Boy Meets World as a youth so, I never was clamoring for a remake lol

If nothing else, Cabin Fever always gets love from me for the subversion of black tropes in film. That scene is still so fucking funny.
