Has anyone seen We Might Hurt Each Other? It’s a Lithuanian slasher from 2023 that’s out on Screambox. Tried looking for a copy but can’t find one anywhere.

2023 is a year that I felt disconnected from horror. The last few years felt like an endless supply of films that l loved, but didn’t feel that way this year. Anyway, I was able to come up with a list finally.

It wasn't a great year, especially compared to recent ones where we were really spoiled.

 

Went to see the Regal Mystery movie tonight and it ended up being a slasher that I've never heard of called Founders Day. Big yikes.

 

I was supposed to go to that tonight, but decided not to at the last minute. Was Founders Day no good?

 

Watching "From" and I'm digging it so far!

 

I would say no. It's very unintentionally funny, so it was at least enjoyable to watch in a theater (although only a handful of the people in the packed theater were also laughing) but it just looks cheap, and has very poor performances.

All of these public domain character flicks look bad lol

 

Conspiracy theory: they’re made by Disney to make using their public domain characters cringe so less people want to do it.

 

Damn, gonna start rewatching season one tonight. I've hear mixed things about seasons two and three, are they worth it? No connection between any of them, correct?

 

No connection. Season 1 is easily the best, two was pretty bad (but I think someone are coming around on it now? I need to rewatch), three is pretty good and worth it.

 

Yeah, I know s2 is super polarizing but I have a friend that loves it. I might do all three and just wait for the full new season to be out.

 

s3 is *so* good. one of the most emotional seasons of TV I've ever seen

 

Haven't seen True Detective at all but I'll jump in for the new season

 

Might wanna watch season one first, not only because it's great but because I'm hearing there *might* be a connection

is this good or bad? that's hardly a monopoly.

 

I'm like 5 or 6 episodes into season 1 of True Detective and it probably goes without saying, but McConaughey is a top 5 living actor.

 

I feel like i've seen everything ever.... Does anyone have any recommendations for some flicks that maybe fly under the radar? Guilty pleasures? Thanks!

 

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but Scary Movie (1991) is on Tubi and everyone should watch it.
