The TCM movies are honestly shockingly solid. With the exception of 2 and 4, and 2022 being batshit bonkers, you mostly know what you're getting with them and they usually deliver

Watched the og Black Christmas for the first time ever the other night, having only ever seen the most recent remake (I know I’m ashamed of me too) and just wow

I haven’t been able to shake it out of my mind since. An immediate all timer for me and I think I wouldn’t have appreciated it to this degree even a few years ago. I’m just craving this period of horror right now and it was beyond my expectations.

 

on the TCM talk, I finally watched TCM 2 a couple years back and was immediately so thankful for its existence

still have to watch 3 and I’ve managed to avoid knowing all that much about it so I’ll be going in pretty cold

 

I also enjoyed TCM 2022 more than most by the average reaction I’ve seen since release

Was going to do The Exorcist tonight, but I'm now having a sudden hankering to do Texas Chainsaw Massacre...I own the steelbook, but I think there's a Joe Bob version I haven't seen. I know it's his favorite.

I moved to New Orleans last month and have been watching a lot of horror stuff or horror adjacent stuff that was filmed here for the fun of it. There’s so much.

I unfortunately landed on Wounds and couldn’t drag this movie a worthy amount if I tried. 0/10.

Oh sweet, I know that book, I haven't read it but it's hard to forget the cover. I actually might read that real quick before I see the movie, I needed a horror book.

 

Boogeyman from this year was fine. It felt like it’s been done before, but enjoyed some of the actors and it’s directed well. Cool to see Rob Savage with a bigger budget tho

 

Not exactly horror, but I'm counting it because the end is horrifying. Everyone should watch When the Wind Blows, it's streaming on Tubi, Vudu, and Roku with ads. Beautiful and devastating.

 

Wound up doing Texas Chain Saw Massacre tonight. In addition to it hitting harder than ever before, I had no idea Marilyn Burns was from my hometown!!
