I did also download a 4K copy of Infinity Pool this morning in preparation though. I figured my first time deserved a little more than just a regular HD copy

  2. Enjoy! I still prefer Possessor, but it's a wild one and I liked it enough to purchase for sure. (Also, Halloweentown tomorrow does sound very cozy.)

Watching Doctor Sleep for the third time ever. While I still think it has so many awesome things about it, the underlying heartbeat score is incredibly overdone, holy shit. I get it that Kubrick did it in the first film (to great affect!), but I swear every 8 minutes there's a pulsing happening. Less is more, man!

people are talking about doubling up, are we trying to do one a day? there's only 15 movies, so are we trying to finish by the end of Sept? if we're going through Halloween, you only have to watch a movie every 3 days

I think just get done by Halloween, but everyone can go at their own pace if they want to get done before October and do Hooptober or their own thing.

  8. Yeah my assumption was people doing Hooptober can do one a day until then but having until Halloween makes it way easier lol

I wasn't thinking about Hooptober. That makes sense. I'm probably just gonna do Gore-Us-O-Ween (maybe twice)

  12. Yeah my goal is just 31 by Halloween, including Gore Us. Might as well start now since I'm trying to fit in my Hill House and Bly Manor rewatches also

I've only seen it once but can't remember and am getting conflicting info online, does Hell Night take place on Halloween?

I’m like 95% sure it doesn’t and that it’s just a costume party. But I also haven’t seen it in awhile and could be remembering wrong.

I think that's right, which is confusing because doesn't Hell Night infer Halloween or the night before in like the Midwest or something?

Hmm I’m not sure on that one, but it would make sense

Started tonight with one off my Hooptober list and went with Red Eye. Another Craven film down! I loved it. Clearly soaked in mid-00’s charm and silliness at parts, it was effective. There’s a scene towards the end that is so Scream-esque. Also it’s funny seeing Cillian play this role cause my fiancée has always gotten weird vibes from him so the whole time she’s just like, “see? see!?”

I did my Romero film tonight. Monkey Shines. It was a little draggy but had some cool ideas and a monkey as a main character is always fun.

Just started my Kevin Williamson movie, "Cursed" and it opens with Bowling For Soup on stage at a fair playing Hey There Little Red Riding Hood.

    Edit:
Now Portia de Rossi is a palm reader at this same carnival and she told two girls "Beware of the Moon" to which they responded "Lay off the crack pipe"

Yikes. Only 4min in and an f slur followed immediately by two more homophobic jokes. This movie is unfortunately very 2005.

  24. I somehow managed to snag a sealed Night of the Living Dead on DVD for a dollar at a used book store haha
