  1. Darcy the Mail Girl from The Last Drive-In started a Patreon, they're restoring old episodes of Monstervision and Joe Bob's Drive-In. There's a $5 tier to access the footage (among other rewards), but there's also a $35 tier, and if you even sign on for a month, you'll get a signed photo from them or a blu-ray with some of the old episodes. I can't imagine them ever being released another way.

$35 is a lot, but I trimmed down my Patreons subscriptions by $15 and I think I might do it for the year. You get a t-shirt, poster, mug, and hoodie out of the deal. Just one of those shows that brings me such a unique sense of joy these days.

  2. Finished S2 of Servant. Maybe not quite as good as S1, but still very good. Can't wait for next season.

oh that's dope. i never watched growing up, so it would be cool to see the episodes. it would never happen, but it would if a deal with shudder could be worked out.

Slaxx was fun. The tonal shift felt a little weird, but I liked it a bunch.

Anyone thinking about starting Gourley and Rust, they're going to move the Nightmare episodes to Patreon in the next couple months, so you should get them while they're free.

Well the fourth phase of the MCU has a treat lined up for your yearning Chris!

jk but I do remember that being a headline - Dr Strange 2 being first MCU film billed as "horror" or something like that.

Wow that is wild! Any idea if the movies themselves are now uncensored?

    Going in on Violation now.

  12. No idea. Honestly, I'm a little worries it could just be the host segments, but even then, I highly doubt they would release them without having some kind of solution for when you should be stopping the film. Honestly idk, but I'll definitely report back.

A reply on Twitter did make it seem like it could just be the host segments. That’d make sense in terms of licensing I guess, but its a bummer

Well if they release the host segments maybe a crafty fan can put the movie in themselves ???

Was entirely unprepared for Violation and ended up having a bit too much to drink and turning it off. Zoinks.

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

I keep reading that Violation is very abrasive and off-putting. The r-revenge sub genre is inherently exploitative but it can be done successfully.

It’s pretty unflinching and some scenes are hard to watch but they mainly deal with the aftermath of the act. It’s kinda also got this art house Lars Von Trier pretentiousness about it but i didn’t hate it outright upon another visit. Trigger warning for it though due to subject matter dealing with r*** and subsequent trauma. There’s also a pretty explicit warning before the opening credits even roll.

Having 7 so high was surprising to me but I did have a lot of fun during that one lol

Watched Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker (aka Night Warning) yesterday and holy smokes Bill Paxton showed up as bigoted jock. Was not expecting it. Also weird that this movie was directed by William Asher who I learned mainly directed television series in the 50s and 60s like I Love Lucy and Bewitched.

Rewatched the Dawn of the Dead remake last night with a buddy, still a fun movie. Also, being much more familiar with James Gunn’s work now, it’s interesting to see just how many of his motifs are in it.

  23. Picked up that and Land of the Dead for a rewatch recently, didn't realize Romero directed Land of the Dead
