Watched After Midnight last night, really took a turn in the middle which was good because I was desperate for it to take a turn.

  5. I remember wanting to check out something with some name in the title but I can't recall if it was The Exorcism of Emily Rose or The Taking of Deborah Logan. Or Saint Maud, in which case I just saw it like last week.

I used the search function, apparently Emily Rose hasn't really been brought up since the archived horror thread, whereas Deborah Logan was brought up in here more recently along with Autopsy of Jane Doe.

I'm like 90% sure the movie I'm thinking of is Saint Maud, but just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on the other ones I mentioned, or any other movie with a female name in its title?

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Deborah Logan is fucking terrifying. one of the only movies I legitimately couldn't finish. been meaning to go back and try to conquer it

I've only seen The Exorcism of Emily Rose and I don't remember it being very good, but I also get those confused. The one I really want to see is Autopsy of Jane Doe, I've heard that it's great. Also heard Deborah Logan is pretty fucked up.

  8. Ol' Debbie Logz is scary shit

Deborah Logan was one of my Covid lockdown movies right at the beginning of the pandemic… huge misstep on my end. I was already scared out of my mind, then this damn movie pushed me over the edge. Great movie, but 100% will never watch again lol.

Checking Bodies x3 for the first time now… not sure how I feel about it yet. Entertaining, nonetheless.

  17. Not exactly horror, at least not in the traditional sense, but I don't know how I haven't seen this before

edit: It's Hell House, a documentary about an evangelical haunted house in the late 90s

Just realized Deborah Logan and Emily Rose are both on Prime, which I no longer have, heh...

Anyway, I just watched The Blackcoat's Daughter. I think there are two possible interpretations of the ending, that the demon has indeed left her, or that it was never there at all, and I don't know which is more heartbreaking. and like, that's the thing that's so compelling about this movie, even after watching her kill like six people, you still kinda feel bad for her in the end. This one's gonna stick with me for sure.
    Revised/extended ranking:

I haven't watched Hell House LLC yet, is it similar to the Houses October Built movies?

  22. Yes, except it's supernatural and centers on the group building the house as opposed to those visiting them
