I still find The Conjuring and Insidious to be two of the most effective horror films in recent memory. I also have a crush on Patrick Wilson, so there’s that.

 

I know a lot of people find that red demon jump scare effective but all I see is Darth Maul when I look at that demon lol

Been quiet around here lately

I showed a friend Possessor this weekend and he enjoyed it

 

I mindlessly scrolled through Shudder yesterday (and eventually Hulu, Peacock, HBO Max, etc etc) and just literally could not pick something to watch. It got to the point where I was just ashamed with my own indecision and inability to commit to something that I picked up a book instead which coincidentally is called Shock Value and is about how the horror genre evolved over the decades (I recommend it!).

 

Can't decide if I want to see Cocaine Bear in theaters or wait for streaming. I may be persuaded to see it sooner if I hear it's really gory lol

 

I definitely want to see that in theaters. A big giant bear on cocaine on the screen? Hell yeah.

 

I regret to report that I am a Cocaine Bear skeptic

 

Working at a queer bar, I see cocaine bears every weekend.

Decided to do a thriller tonight and went with Dave Franco’s directorial debut, The Rental. Pretty good! The second half of the movie had some awesome tension.
