actually my fav. I haven’t seen such diverse opinions and hot takes in any other thread and not ever have it cause a problem. Good crowd here:heart:.

  3. Started Mandy but didn't realize how tired I was, got twelve minutes in before my attention span flew out the window. Obviously nothing's happened so far, but my main takeaway is that that's the actress with the controversial Oscar campaign, right?

Mandy is so fucking good. I was high as hell on edibles when I watched it. One of my favorite moving watching experiences.

Bought tickets to Pooh, but read some reviews on Box'd and oh boy, maybe I shouldn't have done that.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna get a refund (it's a special event so my Unlimited didn't work), and just catch it streaming.

  11. lol, this looks dumb but I keep getting IG ads for the steelbook and I'm a sucker for throwback slashers. Plus, Kane Hodder and supporting indie horror. Gonna treat myself as a little birthday gift, just trying to decide if the steelbook/sticker/numbered lobby cards are worth the extra $11 considering I don't have a 4k player.

  12. Pearl Walmart cover is so fucking cool. Getting a bluray drive for my PC is the best/worst decision, right up there with getting a turntable for vinyl. byebye moneys

  13. Before I had bills, and was living at my mom's, but had a part time job, I would blow my entire check on CDs and DVDs. I'd come home with a huge stack of new stuff all the time haha. I wish I could still pull that off, but alassssss... Now I just download everything because I'm poor, don't have a DVD/blu-ray player, and I never know when streaming services are going to suddenly remove all the stuff that I like to watch. Spotify has really helped me save money when it comes to music too. THANKS SPOTIFY! But vinyl is keeping me poor. BOO VINYL!

Lmao watching the My Bloody Valentine remake for the first time since it came out. I remembered it being pretty bad, but now it’s a freakin blast.

  17. I've been watching comedies this week lol but that will change with tomorrow's TLDI special.

I did watch Club Dread last night (a movie I've wanted to see since like middle school) and it is almost definitely the dumbest movie I've ever seen. I'm ashamed at how much I enjoyed it. I just want to play IRL Pac-Man

So, I just bought Watcher and Ready or Not on Bluray (I already have Ready or Not on DVD! What am I doing?!), and Ex Machina on 4K because it included Bluray, but now I'm like, Wait does my external drive even play 4K? and it's not supposed to but there's a way to make it but it's something called firmware flashing and I have no idea what that entails or if it's even worth the hassle because I probably won't be buying 4K discs for the most part anyways. I honestly usually can't tell the difference in quality so if I reallllly feel like getting something on 4K I might as well pirate it if I've already bought it in some format or another. Getting a 4K tv and a 4K player setup and a collection of 4K discs must be so expensive...

edit: also I just realized the disc that came with my drive has PowerDVD on it I'm a big dumbdumb, that definitely solves the problems i had with VLC and the Midsommar director's cut

    Saw Freaky. Wasn't good.

    Freaky is a modern classic.

I often upgrade my DVDs to Blu-ray and sometimes that to 4K. So I definitely wanting to do that if you have the Blu-ray capability.

Haven’t been in the mood to watch much horror lately.

  22. I'm showing my friends Freaky tomorrow. I don't love it as much as HDD1-2 but it's a fun entry-level friendly horror take on a classic trope and also Kathryn Newton is in it and we'll be going to see her in Ant Man next week, been a fan of hers since Supernatural

I liked HDD a lot more.

    Haven't seen the sequel

  24. Freaky is very good and fun, I prefer it to the HDD films (which are also fun)
