  2. The Suckling (1990) was insane haha. I watched it first thing this morning for some reason. Weird day.

Excited about the Fear Street news. It’s funny how all the opinions I always see about it there’s never any consistency about which one was good or bad. I personally enjoyed all three but felt the middle film was the weakest. Either way I’m excited for more.

the third was easily the worst of the bunch to me. horrible accents, some really dreadful dialogue and not enough involvement from the characters I actually y'know liked in the present timeline

  5. Second was def the weakest for me as well, but I really enjoyed all three

  6. Resurrection is incredible. As a whole maybe not my most favorite or the best this year, but Rebecca Hall's performance and that ending, holy shit. Between this and The Night House? Give Rebecca Hall all the horror roles she wants. Fucking amazing.

I’m still so mad at that villain in Reaurrection, what an awful manipulative person. Him and the guy from Fresh are my top pieces of shit for the year.

  8. Rebecca Hall is so good in everything. I think I saw her in Christine before anything else. I didn't love The Night House, but I love her. Still need to watch Resurrection

Resurrection was not for me :tear:

    That monologue was cool, though.

For me, I'd rank them in order of the films. 1994 may be the best of three, however, I watch 1978 the most. Pays homage to OG slashers in such a fun way with a compelling lead in Sadie Sink. It's such a comfort watch at this point.

  12. I think the one she's in is a biopic about some reporter

Speaking of biopics starring Rebecca Hall, not horror but Professor Marston and the Wonder Women is very dear to me and it's annoying that wholesome kinky bi throuple didn't blow up like toxic power dynamic Fifty Fucking Shades.

Catching up on some Shudder stuff I missed this year: those last few minutes of Watcher were intense, Maika Monroe is the best.

    Sissy is up next

  14. Biopic about Christine Chubbuck, reporter who killed herself on air in the 70s. Was on Hulu when I watched it.

  15. Oh, that reporter. Skimming IMDb that wasn't made clear but I had a feeling. We're in the horror thread where we discuss movies where fucked up shit happens, but I don't think I could stomach seeing a reenactment of that knowing it actually happened

100% agree. I couldn’t bring myself to finish it.

  20. Yeah, tbf it's handled very tastefully (read: off-screen) iirc and the film is much more focused on Chubbick's struggles with mental health prior to the event. Still not a light watch, obviously, but very good.

  21. I fucking loved Deadstream lol

I liked Deadstream but I get it being annoying to people, that guy is a purposefully obnoxious lead

  23. For sure, I just think he plays it so well and the writing is genuinely hilarious
