  1. He said one Canadian film and one British film

Also, I can hold off a bit on tallying our lists if people want more time!

I loved uhhh two of em lol. I'll definitely take more though, it's a premise you could basically do indefinitely

I've revisited 1994 a couple times now. The Scream influence keeps me coming back.

  7. Halfway through Prey and loving it. Might also do Bones and All later today.

(my top ten may change by the end of the day)

Yea I haven’t seen Bones yet either…I gotta catch that. Also, i just can’t bring my self to watch Bodies x3. It just doesn’t seem very appealing.

  9. No but like why do all the white guy kills go so hard haha. So satisfying. Fuck colonizers.

  13. Blumhouse is so hit or miss. I'd watch just about anything John Cho, though. And if Katherine Waterston continues to get roles it'll be the one good thing to come out of that stupid spinoff series

  14. This needs to happen later. I just got the Shudder 7-day free trial.

Also stupid Way of Water is taking up too many screens/showtimes, looks like I may not get to Bones and All today after all.

  15. It's def frustrated and I feel that way every time a Marvel movie comes out, but for what it's worth, The Way of Water whips ass

  16. I think I might actually be able to make it work and see Bones and All today. Took a bit of rearranging my plans but oh well. I'll still need to see Watcher, Deadstream, and Sissy on Shudder as well before finalizing my top ten. So @Aaron Mook I'm guessing you won't be tallying these up until later this month? Thanks

More thoughts on Fresh and Prey (and Hellraiser), holy hell Hulu is killing it.

Fresh is a little predictable but it makes up for it with just perfect execution. A little bit of Promising Young Woman, a little bit of Raw, and, strangely, it also reminded me of Ex Machina? I was honestly a little heartbroken when Sebastian Stan left Once Upon a Time, so I really enjoyed seeing him in something so different from the MCU.

As for Prey, I have no recollection of seeing the Predator movies. The kills are so gruesome, making the Predator a truly terrifying adversary. But beyond all the blood and guts, this film is absolutely gorgeous. It has no business being that pretty. Plus, Amber Midthunder gave perhaps one of my favorite performances in horror this year, and her character's arc was so well written and affecting.

Now that I think of it, most of my horror favorites this year have women in the lead role. Good shit.

Watched Speak no Evil the other night after hearing a lot about it. Wasn’t really for me, but that ending was pretty affecting I guess

  19. Are the extended versions of Doctor Sleep and Midsommar available digitally or only on bluray? I only have a DVD player, would love to see those versions again

HBO Max had the extended version of Doctor Sleep at one point. Not sure if it's still on there. I think I saw Midsommar's was available on iTunes. Could be wrong though

  24. Had to miss Joe Bob tonight (will watch it with a friend next weekend), but my Homegrown Horrors Vol. 2 set came from Vinegar Syndrome, so now that I'm home, I'm thinking Dead Girls and Blue Velvet?
