Watched X over the weekend. Most fun I've had all month. Absolutely wild movie. That drone shot of the alligator is iconic.

Looking forward to seeing Pearl soon and exploring more of Ti West's movies.

Trying to figure out what to cap off Shocktober with. Juggling between Sissy, Resurrection or House of the Devil.

 

It’s of course gonna be Hubie for me tonight

 

I tried watching Hubie Halloween yesterday because I was having trouble focusing on everything else and it was as dumb as I expected. I made it 40 minutes through which is farther than I expected to get.

 

I'm only comparing them because I saw both recently, but I think I liked X more than Barbarian. Both were great though

 

loved Deadstream. most fun I've had with anything in a minute. some absolutely laugh out loud stuff but also genuinely great creature designs and scares

the actor who plays Mildred is a star, absolutely amazing screen presence and delivery. lost my shit at "smash that like button!"

my headcanon most certainly is that she went to hell and became Mabel in VHS 99. these filmmakers are definitely a duo to watch

 

I already want to rewatch Pearl. We’ll see how it holds up (House of the Devil is a yearly watch) but I am wondering if maybe I do agree with @Aaron Mook that it could be Ti West’s masterpiece. It really, really worked for me.

 

Hubie and Halloween tonight. Post-Halloween watches will include Misery and The Shining to get me pumped for winter.

 

We are gonna throw on WNUF and transition to Halloween while sitting out front handing out candy. Probably gonna end the night afterwards with Trick r Treat. Happy Halloween everyone!

I found this at a record store and put it on yesterday but had to stop it because my cat was looking more and more concerned with the screaming, barking, and hooting

 

really mad at myself for not digging for the great pumpkin soundtrack when i was at the record store saturday lol

 

We got any Children of The Corn stans in here? The first few films really creeped me out when I saw them at age 14.

Anyone have a good video playlist recommendation? Going to be sitting in the driveway passing out candy and was thinking of setting up the projector behind me to play some videos during the night

 

I’ve never been able to find a good quality rip of this but I like to watch it every Halloween and could be fun to have on behind you
