either phantasm or child's play is my favorite horror franchise of all time

unfortunately the last phantasm movie kinda sucks

 

Phantasm is on my list for October. Gonna be my first time as well

I’m watching all of the Final Destination movies for the first time. I just rewatched the first two and forgot how much fun they are. Is 4 even worth watching even if it’s just for the the kill? I’ve heard terrible things lol

 

Kinda forgot I was also doing a Final Destination watch. Still need to watch 4 and 5, but I really loved 3. The Rollercoaster just being Viper from Magic Mountain really sealed the deal.

 

Don't let 4 discourage you from watching 5, haha

 

Going to see Pearl tomorrow, maybe Don’t Worry Darling too excited to see how bad it really is, reviews are mixed for sure.

 

Even if DWD isn't good I'm sure it'll still be worth it for Pugh's performance

 

The DWD audiences seem obnoxious. The fact I've seen some of Harry's performance because people are filming it for tiktok while in the theater is enough for me to nope outta that one. And many of the comments say people keep talking and giggling at harrys scenes and ruin any tension smh

 

Phantasam is still my blind spot for horror.

 

I love Phantasm, but I wouldn't mind seeing it get the ole' "reimagining" treatment.

 

it felt like they wanted to film a bunch of weird scenes and then shoehorned a plot into at the end but still a fun watch

I have tried desperately to ignore the DWD discourse because the trailer looks fun and I would like to see it, but yeah, I'll probably wait to watch that one at home

 

I have A-List, will watch for Flo

 

What makes it worse is I own the first film

Have plans for the drive in this weekend with a double feature of DWD and the Shining.

 

Really loving 101 scariest horror movie moments on shudder. The Wednesday release breaks up the work week real nice.

 

The roller coaster scene makes no sense and kind of infuriates me, but aside from that I love that movie.

 

Its really great as a background piece as well. Gonna rewatch tomorrow with my fiancé to make a list of the films we haven't seen!

 

It really is! I’ve had this and Into the Darkness I and II on repeat. My daughters new favorite thing to do is “watch documentaries.” She thinks “documentaries” only applies to horror themed docs at this point lol.

 

Pearl fucking rocked and truly elevates X

 

4 is worth watching just to laugh at how out of the way they went to work in 3D kills. Also, the pool scene is hilarious.

I wouldn't skip it personally. It may leave a bad taste in your mouth, but 5 is a good tonic for that.
