Ever since I watched Rosemary's Baby last night i can't stop thinking what A great horror movie villain John Cassavetes is in that. Not a serial killer and not a paranormal entity, just a selfish emotionally abusive gaslighting dickhead totally willing to let his wife be raped by the devil so he can become rich and famous and then claiming "I did it for us" just the worst lol.

 

Anyone heard of Gone in the Night? Winona Ryder is in it, apparently it's playing near me.

Ehhh not putting too much faith into another patch of fear street films. 1978 was good. 1666 was okay. 1994 was whatever.

 

Loved all three films

Started watching Mimic last night. This is delightful.

 

Haha sure, why not? I'm ready for whatever it's going to be at this point. I'm going to really like some parts and really hate others just like the first two.

Still need to watch the alternative ending of Kills, I bought the Blu-ray but haven't felt like revisiting yet.

 

Hadn't read this synopsis before, it sounds pretty cool.

 

That synopsis sounds sweet. Love the wrongly accused angle for a Halloween film. First time since Ben Tramer took a car to the face in II?

 

They thought the Penguin looking guy from the mental institution was Michael Meyers in the last movie lol

 

I think the extended cut might have some more brutal kills but the ending doesn't make any sense haha

 

The Black Phone was kind of a letdown, but Hawke was great. Fuck, that sequence of him waiting to beat the kid at the top of the stairs was intense.

 

Wasn't in a rush to see that but I definitely want to catch it now that I know they're doing a themed haunted house at Universal Horror Nights this year

 

It was fine. The main plot device didn't really work for me and it just seemed like a watered down Stephen King story - which makes sense, I get it. Some great performances though and the one scene with the dad and the sister was pretty unflinching.

 

Wow Black Phone is getting a haunted house already lol

 

Doesn't involve the original creator. Planned to be a trilogy. Doesn't make any sense given the mythos.
