Resurrection is bad... but it’s kinda charming in retrospect

  4. It's more fun than H20 if we're being honest

Watched Lake Mungo, was great. The Descent is next

  7. H20 is pretty much undoubtedly the better movie, but I always found it kind of bland compared to the hype it gets within the franchise. Feels like...another 90s Dimension-era slasher. Ressurection is terrible and fun in the same way The Curse of Michael Myers is

Lake Mungo is a nice treat

    H20 is fun, but boy it’s such a disaster…
    -the mask (or lack thereof)
-the use of Beltrami’s score from Scream
    -the ending
-Josh hartnetts hair (jk I love his hair)

There’s Someone Inside Your House wasn’t very good, but there were some fun kills so whatever

I just finished Halloween 4. I really think I could love that movie if it weren't for the Salt Lake City of it all. The setting is just so drab compared to the OG Haddonfield.

Looking for something silly to put on while I work around the house and some Dangertainment might be the key.

Halloween Kills starting up in 30 minutes. Excited and kinda giddy tbh

Fun fact! This drug store was seen in Halloween 4 and also The Sandlot. It’s where the kids buy their baseball.

So Sandlot is a part of the Halloween Cinematic Universe? That's dope

Halloween Kills was uh, off the rails and could not have been more unlike its predecessor haha.A lot of it i loved deeply and a lot of it i was baffled by in a not great way.

Watched Sleepaway Camp tonight. Had known about the ending for well over a decade now but what I was NOT expecting was the complete balls to the wall insanity and unintended hilariousness of this thing. Even better was then listening to the “How Did This Get Made?” Podcast episode about it.

everyone is so angry, every adult is (seemingly) a pedophile or an outright pedophile (the cook!), the short shorts are amazing, the absolute SHIT acting lmao. Forget about the ending and how that doesn’t work in 2021, the rest of the film is bonkers enough to make this a great watch with friends or people who haven’t seen and then just turn it off before the reveal if you want.

positive points for unique kills. The one thing I usually get bored with about the slasher genre is when it stays super simplistic with its kills. Sleepaway Camp certainly has variety even if most don’t make any sense lol

  18. I think Sleepaway Camp rivals F13 as the greatest camp horror film of all-time. Absolutely nothing about it should work, but everything does. Endlessly rewatchable

As problematic as the ending is, that final shot is so fucking unsettling.

Sleepaway Camp rules so much, and I kinda love Sleepaway Camp 2 as well

I need to give Sleepaway Camp another try. I wasn’t super invested in it last time I checked it out, but I certainly remember the ending.

@ChaseTx how was Resurrection? Apparently there was a petition to re-release it with Busta commentary. I'd probably watch that.

Saw a review of Kills, and my expectations are very low now.

  23. A lot of the initial fan reviews seem at odds with the current critic reviews, so I'm not too worried.

My girlfriend and I watched this last year not knowing anything about it or the ending, and let me tell you, ha, we were fucked up for a bit afterwards, not gonna lie.

Haven't gotten to it yet. Yesterday was my daughter's birthday so I didn't get a chance. Hopefully sometime this weekend

Tonight we're seeing Halloween Kills. Looking forward to it with tempered expectations
