  1. You guys are making me excited for a James Wan film again lol

It's definitely a kind of movie you don't see in theaters often. If another director's name was on it and it showed up as a Shudder exclusive it wouldn't be so surprising

Last night I watched the Hulu books of blood and it was interesting I guess. It's one of those things that is like connected stories and the first story I liked the other ones I didn't really care for. Then I saw at the end that it was adapted from Clive Barker and I was like oh that makes sense lol

Just read a synopsis of Malignant. It sounds like a Basket Case remake!

Malignant is my favorite movie of the year, no doubt. Watched it at home last night and just purchased tickets to see it in theaters tonight cause this just BEGS to be seen with a crowd.

  13. Yeah, okay, Malignant was absolutely insane and some of it didn't make sense but it also absolutely whips ass hahaha holy moly, what a ride. Loved the practical effects.

  15. I kinda thought his style of horror had gotten stale, but I glanced at his filmography and I think it's mostly just the people trying to replicate him. The only knock I see against him is Insidious: Chapter 2 tbh

  16. If you haven't seen the director's cut of Doctor Sleep yet it's leaving HBO Max on 9/20

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

The only version I’ve seen, and quite frankly I don’t even care about watching the theatrical cut I love the director’s cut so much.

That's how I felt 5 minutes in, but also you think you know what you're in for, but really have no clue.

I love how it keeps you guessing what subgenre you're even watching.

    Act 1 = Ghost / Haunted House
    Act 2 = The Ring
Act 3 = I don't fucking know, Jeepers Creepers meets the Matrix?

Well, for the first time in a very long time I’m letting peer pressure (or maybe “word of mouth buzz” is a better term) get the best of me - gonna sign up for HBO Max tonight and watch Malignant.

Any love for Lady in White (1988)? I came across it while looking for Halloween movies and it looks great like a more disneyfied kid's light horror.
