Everything Mark from GIA does it different, yet awesome. Supercrush is great.

I'm still bummed on the way the Have Heart ticket debacle went down. I wonder how pissed the band and Triple B are and if they feel pressured to do more shows. They shouldn't, they should stick to these four gigs and rent bigger venues imo.

Idk if anyone here likes podcasts but a friend of mine got me into Axe To Grind. Highly recommended for anyone in here really.

Axe to Grind has been great for the last year. Glad people are catching onto it. It's REALLY introduced me to lots of hardcore that I missed over the years.

hell yeah love that band. so glad I got to see them play a little house show last year.

Axe to Grind is cool sometimes but just the inane bullshit tangents they go off on is fucking annoying. I skipped like thirty minutes in to a podcast the other day and they were still doing ad reads.

Honestly when they go off on tangents is one of my favorite parts, idk Patrick cracks me up.

Pats tangents are the best. His rant on Steve Ditko and Stan Lee was hella interesting. I love it when he talks about the comic industry and being a small artist in that space.

Also the fact that its called Axe To Grind but they grind no axes. They always refrain from calling people out or saying something. At least in my time with the show.

Does Pat whine about “cAlLoUt CuLtUrE” as much as he does on the SDF twitter account? Lol

Pat occasionally makes references to it but stays pretty innocuous by his standards for the most part. He's actually pretty respectful despite being the most opinionated of the three.

The only call out I can remember was recently when Tom(?) did it for Pete and FOB.

And even then, it was still a pretty innocuous callout given their backgrounds and no party should really be surprised. Lol.

I’d hardly call that a call out. I’ve heard that story numerous times that they started FOB to meet girls.

Totally. Not the least bit surprising at all.

Anyone read any of the Tony Rettman history of hardcore books?

I tend to roll my eyes when I listen to him but he has gotten a lot better. Very egotistical though.

Is it pretty detailed or does it mostly stick to the surface? I was recently given the NYC, Detroit, and straight edge books. Hoping to learn some things.

It’s a little bit of both. The Straight Edge one is good as well but nothing I have ever read about the scene is amazing but it’s great to discover bands and where they came from.
