Relevant to this thread. Allegations of rape and abuse have surfaced against Alex Fitzpatrick of UK label Holy Roar Records.

Rolo Tomassi have already severed ties and several other bands are considering their options.

Fucking disgusting and disconcerting. As much as I love the bands on Holy Roar I'm glad he's been called out. I really hope that other staff separate from him, or he leaves and there's a change in leadership or something.

Just for the remainder of this year alone I'd been stoked on several HR release - Respire, Svalbard, Palm Reader..bummer for those bands but I'm glad they've all publicly stated their distaste with him.

 

It would be interesting if he sold his portion of the company and the rest of them stepped in and took over. But at the same time is the Holy Roar name tarnished forever?

 

I think they would definitely need to change the name if that happened.

 

Oh boy...

 

Anyone in here seen that The Hell are trying to make a hardcore rock opera named after their Belgian super fan Joris That band is weird.

It ain't no Satisfaction... but this is pretty solid for 2020 Hatebreed. Jamey's lyrics are pretty good here.

Hopefully I posted this earlier but for sure check out Truth Cult. They kinda sound like Revolution Summer bands (Embrace, Rites of Spring, Dag Nasty) if that's your thing. The vocalist Paris is a friend and a very nice guy.
