i do have an interface and have guitar rig 5. i’ve tried bias. no offense but everything i’ve heard from it sounds pretty plastic/fake. definitely more of a gap between “the real thing” and the software versions vs. real thing and the new digital modelers out there. there’s a reason people use them as opposed to running through a laptop to PA on stage

Kind of depends what you use it for I think. It's meant to be something you shove straight into a DAW and throw into a mix. I absolutely agree you wouldn't use the laptop/Bias method live. It would sound really drab. In terms of jamming along with things and messing around on jams and stuff though, it's pretty good.

right. that’s not exactly what i want it for. i already have one of those. i’m looking more for a direct amp replacement

I like to switch between them. The Razers create a much harsher attack I find, while the Jazz IIIs seem to give a slightly more rounded feel to them. I find them pretty easy to switch between, as the shape is very similar, so I can change it up with my mood. :p

When I was pondering some sort of amp on the board solution, I was eyeing up the Two Notes stuff and also the stomp version of the Atomic amp (name escapes me). From what I've heard of all the big digital floor modellers, they're mostly at such a solid level now that you might want to go work out which interface you get on with best, as that's likely to be the biggest blocker to you getting a good sound out of it. Similarly, do you want to run pedals or do you want an all in one thing?

i have a few pedals that are things not in modelers by small builders i’ll probably keep, but like 85% all in one.

i’m between the fractal, which seems to have the best sounds, and the helix, which has the best interface. definitely gonna play around with them before deciding

Anyone else seen the new Fender American Pro line-up? The Miami blue Jazzmaster is making my wallet itch.

Traded a pickup and a bridge for this Harley Benton Double Cut Junior.

I gotta say, for a guitar under $200 this thing is awesome and tons of fun. The thing was hardly played and the quality control is impressive! I’ve always wanted a double cut junior style guitar, but Gibson’s are so freaking expensive. I wish the p90 had a more traditional sound, but it still sounds good! It just reminds me of a telecaster lol. I’ll probably swap that out and buy a cheap replacement bridge and call it a day with the guitar. I recommend this model if you wanna have some fun!

i've been looking at the ibanez talman electrics. a shop nearby has a used one for sale that i'm so tempted by. i was really hoping my next guitar would have a 12" radius on the fretboard though

i was thinking I should probably wait until I actually grab a Jazzmaster bc I forgot that they have different models of the bridge based on the country of make of the guitar

but if you still have it in a few weeks when I grab the guitar ill hit you up

9.5". The new yvette young model is 12" but I'm not super fond of the sparkle green finish.

I had a thinline tele that was 12" and I loved that, just didn't love the lack of a belly contour

I feel like 9.5” has become the thing these days. The jazzmaster I have has a 12” radius neck and I love it a lot!

My Stratocaster's all have 9.5”. The Harley Benton DC Junior I have has a 12” too, but that’s standard for juniors.

Have you tried a compound radius? I really want to try a compound radius neck, like a 10”-16” from warmoth.

I agree with the lack of belly cut on guitars. Especially telecasters or bigger body guitars. The Thinline i has also lacked a belly cut and I definitely noticed it.
